The Eastwood Moment

The Eastwood moment.

The highlight of the Republican National Convention had to be Clint Eastwood’s unscripted monologue that has quickly worked its way into a cultural phenomenon.

From Newsday:

Political conventions are TV shows, only TV shows, and the one from Tampa last night starred a silver-maned screen icon named Clint Eastwood who drifted wildly off-script, addressed an empty chair, put words in the mouth of an invisible “president” that were vaguely — no, very distinctly — scatological, rambled for 11 minutes, drove event organizers to drink and in the process totally, irrevocably heisted the entire week.

It doesn't matter what stripe your politics are, or whether you thought last night was a victory or disaster, Eastwood stole the night. He stole it with the expertise and facility of a veteran actor who knew exactly what he was doing — stealing a scene, and stealing it with utter conviction.

There is but one thing anyone will remember from this week — one thing and one thing only: The sight of Dirty Harry addressing an empty chair.

But wait! What about us? The viewer — the ones sitting at home, drifting off to sleep, wondering when we'd hear yet another speaker talk about yet another mother who had to drive 130 miles to work, while the kids at home were burning the pancakes? The ones watching Taylor Hicks and saying “I voted for THAT guy!?"

Instead, we got Clint and it was electrifying — a glorious, bizarre, fun, wild, weird, kooky, incendiary moment that threatened to throw the entire convention into a complete tailspin — and just before the nominee spoke.

Eastwood took the scripted convention off script and stole the show in doing so.   He did through ridicule what no one else had been able to do.  Today even the most apolitical know that Obama is an empty suit.

Saul Alinsky wrote that ridicule is the most powerful weapon.  Eastwood mocked Obama.  In fact, the mocking was so bad; team Obama felt the need to respond via Twitter today.   The fact they had to respond shows they know how bad it was.  The media tried to portray Eastwood as some nutty old actor, rambling incoherently all over the place.   That meme is failing so badly it is being dropped.  The media is going to try and make everyone forget about what Clint Eastwood did.

That probably won’t happen.

Last night was so bad Obama’s team had to respond.  They did so and that is not a good sign for them.

But I bet it made Clint Eastwood’s day.

Mr Ryan Goes To Washington

Mr Ryan Goes To Washington

Paul Ryan's VP nomination acceptance speech was the voice of We The People. While on vacation at a Gulf Coast condo, the owner of the building looked me in the eye and said, “Lloyd, as a nation, we need to BELIEVE again. We need to believe that the people we put in office are good honorable people committed to doing what is best for our country.” Paul Ryan is the answer to the elderly condo owner's dream.

What struck me most watching Ryan brilliantly deliver his speech was an unmistakable sense of wholesomeness which emanated from the man. It is the same quality possessed by Sarah Palin which is as repulsive to the modern Democratic Party and mainstream media as showing Dracula the cross.

Remarkably, the Democratic Party has become so infected with an anti-American, socialistic and anti-God agenda, that traditional American wholesome principles and values are vehemently attacked and labeled “extreme”.

According to the Democratic Party and mainstream media, rejecting Obama's mandate to force Christians to fund abortions is branded a “war on women”. Americans who do not object to homosexual civil unions, but believe “Marriage” should remain defined as between a man and a woman are punished and branded bigots and haters by the Democrats and their sycophant media.

Unbelievably, Obama is historic in two categories. He is America's first mixed-race president and the first president that the mainstream media declares it racist to criticize or disagree with in any way. The passionate mantra of the mainstream media has always been, “We must speak truth to power!” Well, apparently, it does not apply when there is a black man occupying the Oval Office.

And speaking of “occupying”, Ryan pointed out in his speech how the Obama administration (and the mainstream media, I might add) rallied around the OWS thugs while demonizing small business owners; the people that make our country work and employs most Americans.

Ryan called Mitt Romney a man of high morals. Mentioning the “M” word was like throwing Holy Water on the Democrats and mainstream media. I heard them screaming through my TV, Stop! Stop! It burns! It BURNS!

As excepted, the Democrats and the media have launched their, Paul Ryan-is-an-extremist-racist-nut campaign. Think of their campaign to destroy Paul Ryan as “Sarah Palin Two: The Sequel”; only this time it is a wholesome articulate bright white male they hope to brand as the dumbest most extreme VP nominee ever.

Still, Americans that watched his speech on TV with open minds and hearts “felt” Paul Ryan. They sensed that we are in a battle of good versus evil; wholesomeness versus a diminished America and Godless society.

To the elderly small businessman condo owner, longing for politicians we can believe in again, Paul Ryan represents a major step in the right direction. Go Romney/Ryan, America needs you!

Obama justice at work.

Obama justice at work.

Can we use the words Obama and justice in the same sentence?  Probably not.  The Obama Regime shows every day the rule of law is a concept that does not apply to them and justice is a joke.  For the Obama regime, justice means just us.

What have they done now?   This will shock, but probably not surprise you.

According to Breitbart, the Justice Department may be helping the Occupy mob as they try to disrupt the Republican National Convention.  The Department of Justice has a department called the “Community Relations Service,” or CRS.  The mandate of CRS when it was created was to offer facilitation or mediation services for communities in conflict.

Under Obama, it is being used as a political tool.  CRS was used to help shape the message on Trayvon Martin and forcing out a Florida Sheriff.  Now, Breitbart has video of CRS representatives not only conversing with the Occupy mob but also giving them directions to where busses that were pre-staged for them to take them to their next event.

Great.  Not only is the Occutard movement Astroturf, it is being aided and abetted by the Obama Justice Department.   This is not a shock, since earlier this year, Breitbart and other conservative media reported that the Obama White House ordered government agencies not to enforce rules where the Occutards were squatting on federally protected property.

If we need any other example how the Obama Regime’s Justice Department works, the recent shooting at the Family Research Council is an example of the unequal justice of the Obama Regime.

Yesterday, in Detroit Michigan, Everett Avery pled guilty to a federal hate crime.  His crime was that he struck a man in the face causing a fractured eye socket and other injuries to his face.  Avery thought the man he hit was homosexual.

Ignoring the important question of why this case was prosecuted in Federal Court instead of Michigan state courts, the Department of Justice decided to prosecute this as a hate crime because the victim was believed to be a homosexual by Avery.

In Washington, Floyd Corkins walked into the Family Research Council in DC.   Corkins was a LGBT activist, who stated that he went into the FRC because he did not like their beliefs.   He had fifteen Chick-Fil-A sandwiches in bags with him and he also had 50 rounds of ammunition.   But for the heroic actions of Leo Johnson, the building manager, there would have been a mass murder.

The Department of Justice is prosecuting this case as well.  In this case, there is no question about Federal Jurisdiction because the crime occurred in the District of Columbia.

While there are various charges against Corkins, the one that is obviously missing is hate crimes.

There are two issues related to the hate crimes indictment.  The first is mostly symbolic.   A bias crime against someone believed to be a homosexual is a priority for the Department of Justice, even though the crime could have just as easily been prosecuted in Michigan by state authorities, while a bias crime against Christians which must be prosecuted by the Federal Government because it happened in DC, is not treated as such.

The significance of hate crimes charges is they enhance punishment.  Corkins should have been indicted for one count of attempted murder for everyone in the building.  He should be indicted for crimes that if he is convicted of, guarantee a life sentence.  Instead, he is being charged with crimes that will guarantee he will serve a sentence and be released.

Justice in Obamaland is just like the world of George Orwell’s “Animal Farm.”  All are equal.

Some are just more equal than others.

God is NOT a hitman for Marxism

Because God is not a Hit Man for Marxism

Samuel L. Jackson and various other extreme left socialist Democrats have been lamenting the fact that Tropical Storm Isaac completely bypassed the Republican Convention, and instead, made a bee line for New Orleans.

Actress Ellen Barkin expressed her apparently similar wishes, only that a hurricane would kill all the people who disagree with her socialist world views, including pro-lifers, and because independent women who have jobs in a free market economy somehow amount to a "war on women", despite the fact that 90% of the job losses during the Obama administration have been among women. Hmmm...

That says a lot about her, doesn't it. If you're pro-life, God should send a hurricane to kill you? Whew. These kinds of sentiments are stunning and leave me feeling simultaneously dizzy and queasy, yet the apparently violently-inclined hatemongers on the left never cease to express them.

So why haven't these things happened to the Republicans then?

Could it be because God isn't a Hit Man for those who have forced-collectivist agendas that go against life, prosperity, individual liberty and the individual pursuit of happiness? All the things that a just God would want us to have?

So in fact, the above sentiments can accurately be characterized as irrational, no, totally insane.

Not only that, but those who wish to play such stupid and childish propaganda games might well consider the fact that, yes, the storm did completely miss the Republican Convention, and it headed straight for New Orleans, which is known to be predominantly a liberal Democratic bastion of collectivism.

Remember, these are people who solidly tend to be Democrat-Socialist on-the-plantation servile types, and I'm not talking race here, but political philosophy that transcends such boundaries.

When Katrina hit New Orleans, massive whining resounded, as the majority of devoted liberal-leaning people there cried out for government to come and save them, and of course it wasn't fast enough and they blamed Bush ( who else? ) despite a Democrat Governor who had completely dropped the ball on getting them help in time.

Contrast that with some of the most devastating hurricanes in history in Florida, one of which destroyed the Homestead area, but instead of whining and crying for the government, those people were independent enough to pick themselves back up and rebuild.

And then there's the interesting fact that, after Isaac gets done with New Orleans, it will head up into the heartland that has been so stricken with drought, bringing much-needed rain far north. Could it be that God wants to offer some drought relief to those who have been praying for some rain?

And could He also be sending a message to the Republicans, demonstrating His might, and the fact that they were spared ( sort of like a Passover event ) but they had better stick to solid principles of individual liberty and fiscal sanity now, and work hard to pull this nation back from the edge of the Marxist abyss that Obama and his Democrat-Socialists have brought us to?

So don't go there Democrats. God is not a Hit Man for whiny crybabies who may have dropped racially-inclined slavery over a century ago, but would now enslave everyone equally under global socialism, and who have a century-old Progressive Socialist agenda that is clearly against life and individual liberty.

Let he who is without sin (that’s you Obama)

Let he who is without sin …

President Barack Hussein Obama is rather fond of quoting (more to the point, misquoting) scripture to make a point about income redistribution being a religious obligation rather than a government seizure (second item). So you’d think that he and his surrogates would be familiar with John 8:7 and refrain from lobbing accusations against his opponent, Mitt Romney, that won’t boomerang back. But you’d be wrong:

Democrats pounced when Senate candidate Rep. Todd Akin (R-MO) erroneously claimed in an interview that “If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down,” meaning she won’t get pregnant, and are feverishly trying to link his maladroit mistake on the Republican Party’s 2012 platform, to the Romney-Ryan ticket and even House and Senate races nationwide.

Not-so-funny thing, though, Obama surrogate Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) also said something very wrong about rape: In 1995 he joked about drugging CBS reporter Lesley Stahl and “when Lesley’s passed out, I take her to the closet and rape her.”

And Obama has given the honor of nominating him for a second term to former President Bill Clinton – who was forced to pay AR state employee Paula Jones $850K to drop her sexual harassment suit against him for (allegedly) propositioning her and exposing himself to her, and was accused of forcible rape of one of his campaign workers, Juanita Broaddrick. And you can chalk it up to Instant Karma that in an October 2006 interview with NBC's Meet the Press, none other than Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) – whom Akin is challenging – told then-host Tim Russert, "I think he's been a great leader, but I don't want my daughter near him."

Earlier this month, Obama supporters started a #MoreFakeMitt hashtag campaign ridiculing Romney for allegedly buying Twitter followers to create the false impression of online popularity and social media savvy. Well, it turns out that 70% of Obama's 18.8 million followers are fake, according to Fake Follower Check, an app developed by social media management company StatusPeople. Rob Waller, a founder of StatusPeople, tells The New York Times that Fake accounts tend to follow a lot of people but have few followers. We then combine that with a few other metrics to confirm the account is fake.”

In July, the Obama campaign accused the Romney campaign of using his stump speech quotes “You didn’t build that” and “Just like we’ve tried their plan, we tried our plan. And it worked” out of context, but The Washington Post notes that “the Obama team’s hands aren’t quite clean when it comes to context, either, including its use of Romney’s ‘I’m not concerned about the very poor’ and ‘I like being able to fire people’ quotes.”

Also in July, the Obama campaign, its surrogates and its affiliated super-PACs have repeatedly attacked Romney for offshore holdings that allow him to legally shelter some of his income from taxation, but it turns out that Democratic National Committee chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL) has a 401k retirement fund run by Davis Financial Fund with investments in Swiss banks, foreign drug companies, and the state bank of India, The Weekly Standard reports. She’s not the only high-ranking Dem with foreign financial dealings, according to National Review.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), who has a net worth between $44 million and $94 million, shelters a couple of mill of it in offshore accounts in the Channel Islands and in Mauritius; Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) has $15,000 to $50,000 socked away in a hedge fund held by his wife in the Cayman Islands, which earned $50,000 to $100,000 in capital gains, dividends, and interest; the family of Sen. Frank Lautenberg’s (D-NJ) wife has stashed between $500,000 and $1 million in a real-estate private-equity fund in Mauritius; and Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) – the wealthiest man in the  Senate, thanks to his wife, ketchup heiress Teresa Heinz Kerry – has listed a Channel Island fund in his wife’s name that holds at least $2 million on his 2010 financial disclosure forms; and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi received between $1 million and $5 million in partnership income from Matthews International Capital Management LLC, which has investments throughout Asia.

An ad released by the Obama campaign in May, interviewed former steelworkers at GST Steel’s Kansas City plant was shut down in 2001. Romney had left Bain Capital and moved to UT to turnaround the Winter Olympics two years earlier, but Jonathan Lavine – a major Obama bundler who has raised between $100K and $200K for the 2012 Obama Victory Fund – was managing director at Bain Capital at the time the decision was made to shutter that plant – but not other GST plants that are still in operation.

On several occasions Obama and his surrogates have referred to Bain as a “vulture capital” firm and a “vampire,” and yet he has accepted $118,121 in donations from several Bain executives.

On several occasions Obama and his surrogates have accused Romney of being a “corporate raider” who outsourced jobs to make money on the companies that Bain had invested in. Not only these ads were debunked, but the Washington Examiner reports that Obama and his wife Michelle Obama have invested between $200,000 and $450,000 in the Vanguard 500 Index Fund, which has significant holdings in technology companies that outsource tens of thousands of jobs to India, China and other countries. One of those companies is General Electric, whose CEO Jeffrey Immelt was chosen by Obama to be his jobs czar.

And BuzzFeed reports that one prominent Obama donor is former Dell Computer executive Tom Meredith, who laid off 3,000 and 4,000 U.S. employees while sparing roughly the same number of jobs in its Asia Pacific facilities.

Moreover, Obama outsourced millions of dollars of taxpayer funds to U.S. and foreign companies that used the money to create jobs overseas, according to an exhaustively researched editorial by conservative activist Phyllis Schlafly. To cite a couple of her many examples: After receiving a $500 million U.S. loan guarantee, Fisker Automotive built a factory in Finland to producing its $100,000 electric sports car, and two Korean electric car battery manufacturers got $300 million to build plants in Michigan, but imported foreign nationals to work in them. Oh, and after we bailed out General Motors, the company opened a $200 million plant in Thailand to make diesel engines for its Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck.

Obama’s campaign strategists need to do oppo research on their boss so that they can avoid making charges that can easily be turned back on him. The Obama campaign is spending money faster than it’s coming in on a barrage of wild-eyed attack ads that have succeeded only in diminishing the president and repelling the independent voters he needs to win.

MSNBC abandons GOP minority speeches

One of the left’s favorite attacks on the Republican Party is that it is the party of old white people, devoid of diversity and probably racist.

If you were watching MSNBC’s coverage of the Republican National Convention in Tampa on Tuesday night, you might believe those assertions, since missing from the coverage was nearly every ethnic minority that spoke during Tuesday’s festivities.

In lieu of airing speeches from former Democratic Rep. Artur Davis, a black American; Mia Love, a black candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives from Utah; and Texas senatorial hopeful Ted Cruz, a Latino American, MSNBC opted to show commentary anchored by Rachel Maddow from Rev. Al Sharpton, Ed Schultz, Chris Matthews, Chris Hayes and Steve Schmidt.

Obama Botches Rank Of Top Navy SEAL...

President's latest slip-up was calling Admiral William McRaven a general
Comes days after he and Ohio State University students spelled Ohio 'O-I-H-O'

By Toby Harnden

Barack Obama: ‘I'd advise that you talk to General McRaven, who's in charge of our Special Ops. I think he has a point of view in terms of how deeply I care about what these folks do each and every day to protect our freedom.’

The difficulty with this is that William McRaven is and admiral not a general. As a SEAL, he is member of the US Navy, not US Army or US Marines.

For servicemen, ranks are important – they have worked hard and, in many cases, risked their lives, to earn them. And it’s one thing to omit a rank and another to botch the rank of the highest-ranking Special Forces operator in the country.

Listening to Losers

Listening to losers

You may have missed this one in the media.  Mitt Romney has a new unofficial consultant.  Who is this guy and why should Romney not be listening to him?

The new guru for Mitt Romney is, get ready for this.  Hold on tight.  It is Bob Dole.

Yes, that Bob Dole.  You remember him.  He was the RINO Senator from Kansas who got his head handed to him by Bill Clinton and made his name by becoming on of the original pitchmen for Viagra.

Dole was an idiot 16 years ago and time has not been his friend.

What is Dole’s sage advice for Romney?

Dump the Tea Party.

Dole laments that we are no longer being “bipartisan” like we were when he was in the Senate.  He thinks Romney should be “bipartisan” and ignore the Tea Party.

Yes, that is a great idea.  Let’s listen to someone who not only lost but lost badly.  Let’s listen to someone who would rather lose than win.  That is so bright.

Tea Party members have begun doing what many of us thought would be unthinkable only a few weeks ago.  We have begun coalescing around Mitt Romney.  I even did what I thought would never happen.  I endorsed Romney after he picked Paul Ryan.

Unfortunately Romney continues to treat the Tea Party the way he did during the primary.  He is ignoring us.

He does so at his peril.

The real danger for Mitt Romney is not this election.

Romney is going to win this election.

But he needs the Tea Party.  The Republican Party needs the Tea Party.

But the Republicans and Mitt Romney are acting like we do not exist.  It is worth remembering the elections of 2006 and 2008.  Those elections put the Republican Party on the politician endangered species list.

Neither Bob Dole nor Mitt Romney brought the GOP back.  It was the Tea Party.

The real danger for Mitt Romney is 2013.

The Tea Party is all in to beat Obama and the Party of Treason.

But that is this year.

Next year, all bets are off.

If Mitt Romney and the new Republican majority act like Bob Dole Republicans and just want to be bipartisan as they spend the nation into bankruptcy, we conservatives will be done with the Republicans.  If they choose to play games instead of repealing Obamacare, we will be done with them.

In 1848, Zachary Taylor ran for President and he won.  He was the last man elected President from the Whig Party.

If the Republicans want to be Democrat lite, Mitt Romney could be the Zachary Taylor of the 21st Century.

Vilence against Conservatives

Violence against Conservatives

For conservatives, violence or the threat of violence against us is nothing new.   For conservatives who take a leading role in the movement, it is almost to be expected.

What happens when the threats become personal?

For me, one of the threats has become personal.

I got up this morning, I do one of the things I always do.  I check for emails that have come in overnight.  One particular email got my attention.

The header read, “Dead Judson.”

While D and R are close to one another on a keyboard, that is something that will get your attention, even if it turns out to be a typo.

This was not a typo.

Over the last few weeks, I have been receiving emails from someone who identifies himself as “The Joker.”  The emails were not specifically directed towards me and appeared to spoof other email addresses, such as an address for the Mitt Romney campaign.   A couple of people emailed me telling me this guy was spoofing email addresses, including possibly mine.

When I clicked on the email address that said “The Joker,” the return address was theatershooting@auroragov.org.  His message said, “I will come for you.”

Really?  I don’t think so.  I think my friends in law enforcement will be coming for you.

All threats are serious and should be taken seriously.

This is not the first threat I have received nor do I expect it to be the last.   Violence and threats of violence against conservatives are on the rise.  We can thank groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center that promote violence against conservatives by labeling every conservative group, including Tea Party Nation as a “hate group.”

The problem we are seeing is the left is becoming far more radicalized.  Two decades ago, violence would have been rejected by almost everyone on the left except the most extreme.

Today, many on the left, if they are not accepting of violence against conservatives are at least willing to look the other way.   The media coverage of last week’s shooting at the Family Research Council is a great example.  This was political terror and had it not been for the actions of a heroic employee of FRC, this would have been a mass murder.

Most of the media has buried this story.   When conservatives are the victims of liberal extremism, it does not match the narrative the media wants to sell.   When Gabby Giffords was shot, there was an attempt to tie the shooter to conservatives or the Tea Party.  There was an attempt to blame it on Sarah Palin for putting Gifford’s district in the “crosshairs.”

After the Aurora shootings, Brian Ross infamously tried to tie the Tea Party to the shooting.

There has not been a single case of a Tea Party member engaging in violence against leftists that I can think of.  There is a long record of leftist violence against conservatives, yet the media just wants everyone to move along.  There is no story here.

The left is losing and they know it.   The left cannot stand they prospect of losing power.  They live for power.  They cannot live without it.

They have waited for fifty years to radically change America.  Now they have the chance and America is rejecting them.

The left does not care about freedom or liberty.  Conservatives believe in the free market of ideas and letting the people decide.  That is the last thing the left wants.  Americans want a free nation.  We are a free people and freedom is antithical to socialism.

We real Americans will continue to fight for freedom.  Our fight hopefully will be confined to the court of public opinion.  We will not yield to the violence the left is so willing to use.  We will not surrender.  We are Americans.  We believe in freedom and liberty.  Many of our fathers, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers and beyond paid a terrible price to secure our freedom.

We will not surrender.

As for the Joker, if you are reading this, the authorities have been contacted.

Say hello to them when they come for you.

Pro Republican / Conservative /

Anyone else notice that the entire NBC fall comedy lineup is geared toward idiots & has liberal ideology as storyline?

Dems Medicare Lie

McCaughey: The dems medicare lie
Posted by Staff

President Obama is criss-crossing the country, warning that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan would “end Medicare as we know it.” Attention, New York’s 3 million seniors: Don’t be fooled. It’s the Obama health law that destroyed Medicare, though the impact will not be felt for another year or more.
Scientific evidence indicates that the changes made by ObamaCare will shorten the lives of some elderly hospital patients and make it hard for Medicare enrollees to get treated. The only thing left of Medicare is the membership card.

Left Wing Violence

  • Matt Barber
  • Matt Barber

To borrow from President Obama’s Black Nationalist mentor, Jeremiah Wright, the Southern Poverty Law Center’s hate-baiting chickens “have come home to roost.” The hard-left group has become everything it presumes to expose.

On Wednesday, homosexual activist Floyd Corkins entered the Washington-based Family Research Council (FRC) armed with a gun and a backpack full of ammunition. He also had 15 Chick-fil-A sandwiches (FRC recently defended the food chain’s COO Dan Cathy for pro-natural marriage statements).

The only thing standing between Corkins and mass murder was FRC facilities manager and security specialist Leo Johnson. As Corkins shouted disapproval for FRC’s “politics,” he shot Johnson who, despite a severely wounded arm, managed to tackle Corkins and disarm him (of course, this is all impossible as it’s illegal in Washington, D.C., to carry a concealed weapon).

Of Johnson’s actions, D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier said, “The security guard here is a hero, as far as I’m concerned.”

    I agree.

Upon hearing of Leo’s selfless act of heroism, I was reminded of John 15:13: “Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.”

But according to the SPLC, Leo’s heart is, instead, full of hate. In fact, everyone at FRC is hateful. After all, in 2010 the SPLC, with much fanfare, “officially certified” FRC as a “hate group” for its orthodox Christian positions on marriage and family.

Alongside violence-charged photos of actual hate groups like the Aryan Brotherhood and the KKK, the SPLC lists on its website the decidedly mainstream and always peaceful FRC.

It’s a clever strategy, dishonest and reprehensible though it may be. By juxtaposing FRC and other Christian organizations with violent extremist groups, SPLC has engaged in intellectual sloth at its worst (the organization has repeatedly declined to debate FRC President Tony Perkins over its “hate group” smear).

Rather than debating – on the merits – mainstream Christian groups with which it has ideological disagreement, SPLC has chosen, instead, the coward’s way out: demonization and marginalization through false guilt by association.

It’s a scheme not only slimy, but extremely dangerous.

If ever there were a time I’d prefer not to have been right, now is that time. Back in November 2011, I essentially predicted both the FRC shooting and the SPLC’s undeniable complicity therein.

With a column headlined, “Liberal violence rising,” I wrote, “The SPLC’s dangerous and irresponsible (‘hate group’) disinformation campaign can embolden and give license to like-minded, though less stable, left-wing extremists, creating a climate of true hate. Such a climate is ripe for violence.” (If anyone deserves to be taken out – rationalizes the unbalanced SPLC dupe – its members of this or that evil “hate group” whom, as he’s been repeatedly told, mean him great harm.)

That was before the fact. After the fact – one day after the shooting – Tony Perkins addressed exactly that which I forecast:

“Let me be clear that Floyd Corkins was responsible for firing the shot yesterday,” he told Washington reporters. “But Corkins was given a license to shoot an unarmed man by organizations like the Southern Poverty Law Center that have been reckless in labeling organizations hate groups because they disagree with them on public policy.”

The SPLC “should be held accountable for their reckless use of terminology that is leading to the intimidation and what the FBI here has categorized as an act of domestic terrorism.”

Regrettably, Mr. Perkins finds himself in a uniquely credible position to make this charge.

Still, although there remains a vast ideological divide between the SPLC and the tens of millions of Christian Americans represented by the Family Research Council, the Southern Poverty Law Center now finds itself with a brief window of opportunity to both do the right thing and rehabilitate its badly damaged reputation.

To the SPLC, I say this: Your cynical efforts to dehumanize Christians and equate biblical truth to “hate” are working better than I think even you expected. It’s now within your power to right a horrible wrong and restore a sense of peace and security to the rattled folks at FRC. What a gift that would be.

I appeal to your sense of goodwill. This is not a game. Lives are at stake. I know you have good employees (I’ve met some) who believe they’re doing the right thing; so, please, validate that belief. It’s time to remove your metaphorical “hate group” Star of David from mainstream Christian organizations before another of your ideological allies spills blood.

And to homosexual activists and other liberal groups, I say this: Rise above the fray. Let’s come together. Here is something on which even we can agree. Publicly encourage SPLC to lift this veil of fear.

Media, you, too, are on notice. Remember Wednesday’s shooting next time you even think about repeating SPLC’s “hate group” brand while addressing the Christians upon whom it’s tattooed. You also have share in the blame.

SPLC, hear me now: If, God forbid, something like this – or even worse – happens in the future and you have yet refused to retract and apologize for your “hate group” propaganda, then your hands will forever be stained with the blood of innocents.

Still, either way, we Christians are commanded to speak the truth of Christ “even unto death.”

FRC will not be deterred. “We’re not going anywhere,” Tony Perkins told reporters Thursday. “We’re not backing up; we’re not shutting up,” he vowed. “We feel that – we don’t feel, we know [that] we have been called to speak the truth. Speak it in love, but to speak the truth nonetheless – and we will not be intimidated, we will not be silenced.”

“I was there as [Leo] came to from the anesthesia,” said Perkins, “and I told him, ‘Leo, I want you to know you’re a hero.’ And he thought about it for a minute and he said, ‘You know, this hero business is hard work.’”

Heroes don’t work for “hate groups,” and FRC’s hard work is heroic indeed.

I’m proud to count them my friends.

    You should be, too.

  • The blood on Obama’s hands

    The blood on Obama’s hands

Mark Halperin of Time shocked people this weekend by saying, “the media is very susceptible to doing what the Obama campaign wants.”   The media has gone from simply being biased in favor of the liberal to being an outright media arm for the Democrat Party and the Obama Reelection campaign.

The media should be telling the story of the blood on the hands of Barack Obama.  They are not.  What is this shocking story the media is not telling us?

The blood on Obama’s hands comes from the American troops in Afghanistan.

Obama’s policy for American troops in Afghanistan can be summarized as, “Let them be targets.”

Obama has American troops in Afghanistan dying or being maimed for no good purpose.  He has no objectives here, other than not to lose Afghanistan before the election so it will not be blamed on him.

In the last eleven days, there have been nine attacks on American or NATO soldiers by Afghan soldiers or Taliban infiltrators posing as Afghan soldiers.  These are the so-called insider attacks.

What has been the response of the Obama Regime to more Americans coming home in flag-draped coffins?

They are pressuring Afghanistan to do more “screening” of recruits.  Gee, Afghanistan is a 7th Century nation.  How are they going to screen people?  There are no central records in Afghanistan.   How are they going to screen?  Unless there is a new way to start reading minds, screening in Afghanistan means nothing.

At least there is one sane military officer in Afghanistan.  General John Allen, the NATO commander in Afghanistan has now ordered all coalition military forces to carry loaded weapons with them at all times.

Afghanistan is a combat zone with the enemy carrying out unconventional attacks.  Which begs the obvious question: Why the hell weren’t our soldiers carrying loaded weapons all of the time before now?

This is the problem with Afghanistan.  We are treating it like a social welfare problem instead of a military campaign.

The first rule of war is you fight to win.   While George W. Bush deserves some of the blame for this, an overwhelming amount of the blame now goes to Barack Obama.  You do not send Americans to die in a war you have no intention of winning.

What is Barack Obama’s goal in Afghanistan?  It is to get out by 2014.  It is not to win.  It is simply to cut and run and have Afghanistan go down as another loss to America, much as Vietnam was lost.

Obama does have another strategy.  According to Aaron Klein and Brenda Elliot in their book, Fool Me Twice, Obama’s strategy is to reduce and remake the American military into an international social services agency.   Obama’s Afghan strategy not only destroys the morale of America’s military causing many patriotic Americans to leave the service instead of making it a career, it also destroys a lot of equipment that will never be replaced.

Obama has no clear-cut strategy in Afghanistan, other than to lose.

The Obama Regime has saddled our troops with rules of engagement that do not result in successful operations against the enemy and do result in casualties.  American soldiers are often forced to choose between violating those rules of engagement on the battlefield, surviving and risking a court martial or dying.

The real problem is Obama will not identify our enemy.   Islam is the enemy.  The Islamists hate us because we are not Muslims.

During World War 2, we pacified Germany after the war by de-Nazifying it.   We did the same to Italy.   We did the same to Japan.

Why aren’t we doing this to Afghanistan?

Instead of de-Islamifying Afghanistan, we bend over backwards to accommodate our enemies.  We are using taxpayer dollars to build Mosques where the Taliban then come and recruit new fighters to attack America.

Afghanistan is not worth one more American life.  Fortunately, six months from now we will have a new commander in chief.   Then the military will have a commander who supports them.

And not one who simply views them as political props.

Biden's "good friend" donor receives $20m fed loan
    Posted by Staff

In late July, John Hynansky — a longtime friend of Vice President Joe Biden, and a major donor to Biden’s campaigns as well as President Barack Obama’s — was awarded a $20 million taxpayer loan to build a foreign-car dealership in Ukraine.

According to a public summary document, the loan, from the federal government’s Overseas Private Investment Corporation, is for “[u]p to $20.0 million,” and is designed to “expand Winner Import Ukraine’s automobile business, [and] construct and operate ‘Winner Autocity,’ which will have two new, state-of-the-art dealership facilities for Porsche and Land Rover/Jaguar automobiles.”

    Obama’s Betrayal

    Obama's betrayal
    Posted by Staff

In the innocent, bygone days of February, President Obama told NBC News that the campaign would get negative against him, but provided this assurance: "I think that you will be able to see how we conduct ourselves in the campaign. I think it will be consistent with how I conducted myself in 2008 and hopefully how I have conducted myself as president of the United States."

Not since Gary Hart urged reporters to follow him around because "they'd be very bored" has an assurance been more of an indictment. The Obama campaign has targeted and intimidated Republican donors on an Internet enemies list. It has engaged in the juvenile mockery of Mitt Romney's singing. It has suggested, without evidence, that Romney may have committed the felony of falsifying FEC documents. It has speculated, without proof, that Romney has avoided paying taxes. When Joe Biden engages in racially charged hyperbole, he is awkwardly but accurately reflecting the spirit of the 2012 Obama campaign.

    MSNBC is Disgraceful

    MSNBC Is Disgraceful

    Thursday, August 16, 2012 21:22

    By Wizbang

When it comes to politics, there is playing the race card and then there is despicable behavior.  Tonight MSNBC dove so deep into the bottom of the barrel I question that they can ever rise back to their normal level of laughable lunacy.  MSNBC host Toure–he is not worth my time to search how to add the stupid accent above his name–told his handful of viewers the following:

That really bothered me. You notice he said anger twice. He’s really trying to use racial coding and access some really deep stereotypes about the angry black man. This is part of the playbook against Obama, the ‘otherization,’ he’s not like us.

“I know it’s a heavy thing, I don’t say it lightly, but this is ‘niggerization.’ You are not one of us, you are like the scary black man who we’ve been trained to fear.

I guess Toure feels like he is reclaiming the word or some such bullshit.  Jim Hoft educates him on the origins of that term.

What you may not know is that “niggerization” is a Nazi term. The Nazis spoke obsessively about the “niggerization” of art and music. They had the infamous Degenerate Art Exhibit in 1937.

It was used along with the term “Verjudung” or “Jewification.”

I won’t even classify Toure’s actions as incompetent journalism.  MSNBC has longed ceased to be a journalistic entity–they are a primary arm of the Democratic party.  This isn’t media bias, it is dirty campaigning at its worst.  The executives at NBC, who recently bought full ownership of the cable network from Microsoft, should be ashamed of such slander being broadcast in their name.

I take little comfort in the fact that Toure is a small man with a small position on a small network.  That doesn’t excuse his actions.  During election time I often have my faith in the American population tested.  Never so much as tonight.

    Mitt Romney

A lot is being said in the media about Mitt Romney not being "likable" or that he doesn't "relate well" to people. Frankly, we struggled to understand why. So after much research, we have come up with a Top Ten List to explain this "unlikablility."

The Top Ten Reasons To Dislike Mitt Romney:

    1. Drop-dead, collar-ad handsome with gracious, statesmanlike aura. Looks like every central casting's #1 choice for Commander-in-Chief.

    2. Been married to one woman his entire life, and has been faithful to her, including through her bouts with breast cancer and multiple sclerosis.

    3. No scandals or skeletons in his closet. (How boring is that?)

    4. Can't speak in a fake, southern, "black preacher voice" when necessary.

    5. Highly intelligent. Graduated cum laude from both Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School...and by the way, his academic records are NOT sealed.

    6. Doesn't smoke or drink alcohol, and has never done drugs, not even in the counter-culture age when he went to college. Too square for today's America?

    7. Represents an America of "yesterday", where people believed in God, went to Church, didn't screw around and worked hard to become successful!

    8. Has a family of five great sons....and none of them have police records or are in drug rehab. But of course, they were raised by a stay-at-home mom, and that "choice" deserves America's scorn.

    9. Oh yes, he's a Mormon. We need to be very afraid of that very strange religion that teaches its members to be clean-living, patriotic, fiscally conservative, charitable, self-reliant, and honest.

    10. And finally . . . pundits say because of his wealth, he can't relate to ordinary Americans. I guess that's because he made that money himself, as opposed to marrying it or inheriting it from Dad. Apparently, he didn't understand that actually working at a job and earning your own money made you unrelatable to Americans.

My goodness, it's a strange world, isn't it?

    Personal Information:

His full Name is: Willard Mitt Romney

He was Born: March 12, 1947 and is 65 years old.

His Father: George W. Romney, former Governor of the State of Michigan

He was raised in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan

He is Married to Ann Romney since 1969; they five children.

    Education:

    B.A. from Brigham Young University,

J.D. and M.B.A. from Harvard University

    Religion:

Mormon - The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints

    Working Background:

After high school, he spent 30 months in France as a Mormon missionary.

After going to both Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School simultaneously, he passed the Michigan bar exam, but never worked as an attorney.

In 1984, he co-founded Bain Capital a private equity investment firm, one of the largest such firms in the United States.

In 1994, he ran for Senator of Massachusetts and lost to Ted Kennedy.

He was President and CEO of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.

In 2002, he was elected Governor of the State of Massachusetts where he eliminated a 1.5 billion deficit.

    Some Interesting Facts about Romney:

Bain Capital, starting with one small office supply store in Massachusetts, turned it into Staples; now over 2,000 stores employing 90,000 people.

Bain Capital also worked to perform the same kinds of business miracles again and again, with companies like Domino's, Sealy, Brookstone, Weather Channel, Burger King, Warner Music Group, Dollarama, Home Depot Supply and many others.

He was an unpaid volunteer campaign worker for his dad's gubernatorial campaign 1 year.

He was an unpaid intern in his dad's governor's office for eight years.

He was an unpaid bishop and state president of his church for ten years.

He was an unpaid President of the Salt Lake Olympic Committee for three years.

He took no salary and was the unpaid Governor of Massachusetts for four years.

He gave his entire inheritance from his father to charity.

Mitt Romney is one of the wealthiest self-made men in our country but has given more back to its citizens in terms of money, service and time than most men.

And in 2011 Mitt Romney gave over $4 million to charity, almost 19% of his income.... Just for comparison purposes, Obama gave 1% and Joe Biden gave $300 or .0013%.

    Mitt Romney is Trustworthy:

He will show us his birth certificate

He will show us his high school and college transcripts.

He will show us his social security card.

He will show us his law degree.

He will show us his draft notice.

He will show us his medical records.

He will show us he has nothing to hide.

Mitt Romney's background, experience and trustworthiness show him to be a great leader and an excellent citizen for President of the United States.

You may think that Romney may not be the best representative the Republicans could have selected. At least I know what religion he is, and that he won't desecrate the flag, bow down to foreign powers, or practice fiscal irresponsibility. I know he has the ability to turn this financial debacle that the current regime has gotten us into. We won't like all the things necessary to recover from this debt, but someone with Romney's background can do it.

But, on the minus side, he never was a "Community Organizer", never took drugs or smoked pot, never got drunk, did not associate with communists or terrorists, nor did he attend a church whose pastor called for God to damn the US.

Woman Threatened With Fine for Feeding Philadelphia’s Low-Income Children

Philadelphia is nicknamed the “City of Brotherly Love,” meaning a community that helps one another. One resident has been living up to that nickname by giving lunches to kids in need during the summer. The act of kindness was halted when Angela Prattis was threatened with a $600 dollar per day fine for not clearing the food giveaway with the local government.

Prattis told reporters, “They could be doing a whole lot of other things. We have houses here, roofs are falling, and I mean they could be focused on a lot of more serious issues than me feeding children.”

After emails began to pour in from others supporting Prattis and protesting the government’s decision to fine her, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter decided to stand behind her and now reports are that she will not be fined. However, Prattis still has to pay $1,000 dollars to go in front of the board for a zoning hearing and receive a permit to serve the food.

The Five expressed their disgust with the local government for picking on Prattis for her good deeds. Dana Perino thought Prattis should’ve been given the Key to the City. She also noted, “The thing that struck me when reading this is that ‘another resident alerted the council about the distribution.’ I mean, you would not want to be this person’s friend who alerted the council because she was doing something that was kind.”

Andrea Tantaros pointed out, “This isn’t a neighborhood that’s affluent and some snob calls up and says I don’t want this going on. This is a neighborhood where these kids really need help. The average income is about $19,000 dollars a year. And this woman used to do the giveaways at a local church, but she had a baby, and so now she’s bouncing a baby on one knee and giving away lunches. Can the city give her a pass?”

IL state workers forced to attend Pelosi and Jackson event

Documents and a whistle-blower affidavit obtained by The Daily Caller charge that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Illinois Democratic Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., and Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr., participated in an unethical — and possibly illegal — effort to force 76 employees of an Illinois state agency to engage in political activity on the taxpayers’ dime.
According to the whistle-blower, Rev. Jackson also encouraged the government employees to load first-generation and low-income college students up with student loan debt — because Democrats in Congress, he allegedly promised, would eventually pass laws to forgive that debt later. “[T]hose people will continue to vote Democratic,” Jackson Sr. said, according to the whistle-blower.

Obama asks for dirt on Rubio and Portman

The Obama campaign launched a pre-emptive strike Tuesday on Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, attempting to gather dirt on the potential vice presidential pick by asking Floridians to share with the campaign "the good, bad and ugly" about him.

Ashley Walker, director of Obama for America in Florida, blasted out the email Tuesday soliciting unflattering information on Rubio.

"Share what you think the rest of the country should know about what Rubio's really done in Florida," Walker wrote, "the good, bad and ugly. And why he'd be a disaster as our next vice president."

Instead, Reid pointed to the financial disclosure forms he files as a member of Congress, which provide different information.

    Obama Hates Our Military

    Contempt of Obama

Barack Obama is many things.  He is an arrogant elitist.  He is an anti-American Marxist and holds many people who would probably be described as red-blooded Americans in contempt.

There is one group of Americans Obama has shown nothing but absolute contempt for.

Who are they and why is it so important?

The people that Obama holds in contempt are the patriotic Americans who make up our military.

From day one, Obama has done nothing but show his contempt and even hatred for the American military.   Not only has he cut the budget for the military, but he is making them waste what money they have on useless and fraudulent programs like the biofuels program.

Obama’s contempt for the American military shows no limits.  His campaign and the Democrat Party are now suing to block early voting for military personnel in the crucial swing state of Ohio.

Obama suspended hazard pay for the military going into combat zones and he has proposed cutting healthcare benefits for active duty and retired military personnel while keeping benefits for union workers intact.

Yet there is one thing Obama has done that shows the most contempt he has for Americas military.

In 2007, in Karbala Iraq, Islamist terrorists led by Ali Mussa Daqduq dressed up as American soldiers, attacked an American checkpoint, killed one soldier, kidnapped four others before torturing and killing them.

He was detained in 2007 and held in Iraq.  In 2010, as Obama was trying to get out of Iraq as fast as he could, the issue of Daqduq came up.  Obama refused to transfer the killer of five American soldiers to Gitmo.  He did not want to defy Iraq’s so-called sovereignty.

So instead of prosecuting Daqduq, Obama lamely turned him over to Iraqi officials.  Congressmen at the time warned this was the same as letting him go.

Now, Iraqi officials are going to do just that.  They are going to release the terrorist who tortured and murdered four American soldiers.

To ad insult to injury, not only is Iraq going to free Daqduq, they are going to make it impossible for us to extradite him.

Of course, the Obama Regime is not serious about extraditing Daqduq.

Daqduq is a top Hezbollah commander.  He is a threat to America and Americans around the world.  Daqduq is a hero among Islamists.  And now he will be a free hero.

Earlier this year when George Zimmerman killed Trayvon Martin in what may well be a case of self-defense, Barack Obama jumped into the media bandwagon demanding action.

In this case, Islamist terrorists killed Captain Brian Freeman, 1st Lieutenant Jacob Fritz, Specialist Jonathan Chism, PFC Shawn Falter and PFC Johnathon Milican.  Four of the five were tortured before being executed.

If you are a member of a group that Obama needs politically, he will do anything to help.  If you are a member of a group, like the military, who will not support Obama, then you are nothing to him.

This is nothing short of a travesty.  In fact, travesty does not even begin to describe this.

The five American soldiers knew the risk when they put on the uniform.  They also accepted an agreement with the American government that we never leave our soldiers behind.  We may not have left them behind physically but given the Obama Regime’s willingness to ignore the killer of American soldiers, we might as well have.

    These five soldiers deserve justice.

They will never have it while Obama is in the White House.

Obama campaign sues to restrict military voting
    Posted by Staf

President Barack Obama, along with many Democrats, likes to say that, while they may disagree with the GOP on many issues related to national security, they absolutely share their admiration and dedication to members of our armed forces. Obama, in particular, enjoys being seen visiting troops and having photos taken with members of our military. So, why is his campaign and the Democrat party suing to restrict their ability to vote in the upcoming election?

On July 17th, the Obama for America Campaign, the Democratic National Committee and the Ohio Democratic Party filed suit in OH to strike down part of that state's law governing voting by members of the military. Their suit said that part of the law is "arbitrary" with "no discernible rational basis."

Obama promised to be open and transparent. He promised to lead an administration with the most integrity and honesty. He promised to be bipartisan and lead from the center. He promised a dialogue that did not vilify his opponents. He promised to represent all Americans. He promised many things, but when they took the teleprompter away, he forgot them all.

    Romney: Culture does matter
    Posted by Staff

During my recent trip to Israel, I had suggested that the choices a society makes about its culture play a role in creating prosperity, and that the significant disparity between Israeli and Palestinian living standards was powerfully influenced by it. In some quarters, that comment became the subject of controversy.
But what exactly accounts for prosperity if not culture? In the case of the United States, it is a particular kind of culture that has made us the greatest economic power in the history of the earth. Many significant features come to mind: our work ethic, our appreciation for education, our willingness to take risks, our commitment to honor and oath, our family orientation, our devotion to a purpose greater than ourselves, our patriotism. But one feature of our culture that propels the American economy stands out above all others: freedom. The American economy is fueled by freedom. Free people and their free enterprises are what drive our economic vitality.
