What’s the difference

Q: What's the difference between Obama's cabinet and a penitentiary?
A: One is filled with blackmailers, tax-evaders, and threats to society. The other's for housing prisoners.

iTunes

The Christian group affected by Apple's decision to pull its iTunes service from its charity website is fighting back accusations that it is "anti-gay." It also said that Apple is sending the message that it doesn't want to do "business with Christian people" if it continues to cater to every petition by gay rights activists.

The Green Thing

The Green Thing

In the line at the store, the cashier told an older
woman that she should bring her own grocery bags
because plastic bags weren't good for the
environment.
The woman apologized to him and explained, "We didn't have the green thing back in my day."

The clerk responded, "That's our problem today. Your generation did not care enough to save our environment."
He was right -- our generation didn't have the green thing in its day.

Back then, we returned milk bottles, soda bottles and
beer bottles to the store. The store sent them
back to the plant to be washed and sterilized
and refilled, so it could use the same bottles
over and over. So they really were recycled.
But we didn't have the green thing back in our day.
We walked up stairs, because we didn't have an
escalator in every store and office building. We
walked to the grocery store and didn't climb
into a 300-horsepower machine every time we had
to go two blocks.
But he was right. We didn't have the green thing in our day.

Back then, we washed the baby's diapers because we
didn't have the throw-away kind. We dried
clothes on a line, not in an energy gobbling
machine burning up 220 volts -- wind and solar
power really did dry the clothes. Kids got hand-me-down clothes from their brothers or sisters, not always brand-new clothing.

But that was right we didn't have the green
thing back in our day.
Back then, we had one TV, or radio, in the house -- not a TV in every room. And the TV had a small screen the
size of a handkerchief (remember them?), not a
screen the size of the state of Montana .
In the kitchen, we blended and stirred by hand
because we didn't have electric machines to do
everything for us.

When we packaged a fragile item to send in the mail,
we used a wadded up old newspaper to cushion it,
not Styrofoam or plastic bubble wrap.

Back then, we didn't fire up an engine and burn gasoline just to cut the lawn. We used a push mower that ran on human power. We exercised by working so we didn't need to go to a health club to run on treadmills that operate on electricity.

But he's right; we didn't have the green thing back
then.

We drank from a fountain when we were thirsty
instead of using a cup or a plastic bottle every
time we had a drink of water.
We refilled writing pens with ink instead of buying
a new pen, and we replaced the razor blades in a
razor instead of throwing away the whole razor
just because the blade got dull.
But we didn't have the green thing back then.
Back then, people took the streetcar or a bus and kids rode their bikes to school or walked instead of turning their moms into a 24-hour taxi service.

We had one electrical outlet in a room, not an
entire bank of sockets to power a dozen appliances. And we didn't need a computerized gadget to receive a signal beamed from satellites 2,000 miles out in space in order to find the nearest pizza joint.
But isn't it sad the current generation laments how
wasteful we old folks were just because we
didn't have the green thing back then?

Please forward this on to another selfish old person
who needs a lesson in conservation from a smartass young person

The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living.

Obama "the compromiser" nixes bipartisan debt deal

The president has tried to cloak himself in the mantle of reasonable conciliator in recent days, directing his press hacks to demonize and marginalize the tea party as extreme and intransigent. Then the truth emerged--it is Obama himself who is the petulant, stubborn party, refusing to take a short-term deal to avoid economic calamity. If this could be Armageddon, how can the White House so cavalierly dismiss a bipartisan proposal?

Surprise! Harry Reid playing politics

Sen. Harry Reid is working on a new plan he'll try to sell to Republicans. It supposedly has trillions in cuts and doesn't increase taxes. But if the spending cuts aren't real (and there seems to be some gimmickry involved), Republicans will be forced to reject it. Since that would give Democrats another opportunity to say that Republicans can't say yes to anything, it seems Reid's "plan" is little more than a partisan trap.

RNC asks for probe of Obama White House fundraising video

The Republican National Committee has asked the Justice Department to investigate what it calls a matter of “grave concern:” President Obama’s appearance in a campaign video filmed inside the White House.
“If President Obama recorded the video in the Map Room, then it appears he has committed a crime under federal law,” RNC chairman Reince Priebus wrote in a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder.
The letter attempts to revive an issue Republicans first raised weeks ago but that has failed to gain much attention or traction. Many good government groups and independent legal experts have dismissed the claims.

QVC Gets it Right

QVC gets it right.

We all know QVC.  It is a cable TV shopping channel and if you have a product you really want to sell, that is the place to go.   QVC recently did something stupid.  Everyone is entitled to make mistakes.   This one was a big mistake.  Many times it is not the mistake you make but how you deal with the mistake.

QVC realized their mistake and made it right.  What was their mistake?

They were going to bring Jane Fonda on to pitch her new book called, “Prime Time.”  To say that many veterans of the Viet Nam war hate Jane Fonda would be an understatement.  That would be like calling Ft. Knox merely “a warehouse.”

Many Viet Nam veterans and their families hate Fonda for very good cause.  In 1972, at the height of the war, Fonda traveled to Hanoi.   Her purpose was to give aid and comfort to the Vietnamese during the war.  This was a propaganda event of significant proportions.

Fonda posed on a Vietnamese anti aircraft gun, which was being used to shoot at American Aircraft.  The North Vietnamese air defenses shot down thousands of American aircraft during the war, resulting in thousands of American fliers either being killed or captured as POW’s.  A few lucky one’s would be rescued before capture.

Fonda met with a few POW’s, again in a staged propaganda event.  After the war, she called the men liars when they talked about how brutal their treatment was.

There are some myths about Fonda, such as the story of her turning over to the Vietnamese slips of paper captured Americans had given her.   Even without the myths, her behavior in 1972 was nothing less than treasonous.

As soon as QVC announced they would have a segment with Fonda, veterans, veterans groups and other patriotic individuals complained to QVC.   Whether QVC acted out of simple corporate fear of bad publicity or if they acted because they realized real Americans hate Jane Fonda and they should too, is irrelevant.  They cancelled her and did the right thing.

Fonda reacted in typical leftist fashion.  She claimed that QVC had caved to “extremist” pressures.  In Fonda’s warped world, patriotism is extreme.  Fonda went on to say, "Bottom line, this has gone on far too long, this spreading of lies about me! I love my country. I have never done anything to hurt my country or the men and women who have fought and continue to fight for us."

What is the word I am looking for here?  Well, I can’t say it on TPN.  How about Male Cow Manure?

Jane Fonda went to Hanoi in the middle of a war.  Her trip was a propaganda trip, which had the sole purpose of giving aid and comfort to the enemy.  While she was cavorting with the comrades, Americans were being tortured and killed, both in the POW camps and in combat.

Fonda was not some innocent 18 year old at the time.  She was 34 when she went to Hanoi.  She was almost old enough to be the mother of some 18-year-old draftee fighting in the jungles.

Over the years, Fonda has given a couple of lame apologies, coincidentally timed for when she had a major project going on and real Americans were protesting her.

Fonda is now 73 and wants us to think that was just a long time ago.  She may be 73 but so are some of the victims of the North Vietnamese, who she gave aid and comfort to.  Those men have lived with what our enemy did to them every day since that war ended.   They fought, she parties.  They loved this country and she spit on them and America.

As we work for a conservative government in 2013, we should remember, there is a legal term for what she did.  It is called Treason.

There is no statute of limitations on Treason.

Transparent Obama WH doesn't want to hear your questions

A long-running tiff between the White House press corps and the West Wing over presidential access flared anew today when press secretary Jay Carney faced off with reporters over the right to shout questions at the president during debt talks.
Obama chafes at the time-honored practice of answering questions shouted at him during pooled, non-press conference events — and his staff has often opted for “stills sprays,” excluding print reporters or TV cameras who might capture Obama in the less than flattering non-act of snubbing a query.

Obama Care Explained

Let me get this straight . . . ...
We're going to be "gifted" with a health care
plan we are forced to purchase and
fined
if we don't,

Which purportedly covers at least
ten million more people
,
without adding a single new doctor,
but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents,

written by a committee whose chairman
says he doesn't understand it,

passed
by a Congress that didn't read it but
exempted
themselves from it,
and signed by a President who smokes,

with funding administered by a treasury chief who
didn't pay his taxes
,

for which we'll be taxed for four years before any
benefits take effect
,

by a government which has
already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare
,

all to be overseen by a surgeon general
who is obese,

and financed by a country that's broke!!!!!

'What the hell could
possibly
go wrong
?

Let's Move! Michelle Obama orders 1,700 calorie feast

First lady Michelle Obama ordered a whopper of a meal at the newly opened Washington diner Shake Shack during lunch on Monday.
A Washington Post journalist on the scene confirmed the first lady, who’s made a cause out of child nutrition, ordered a ShackBurger, fries, chocolate shake and a Diet Coke while the street and sidewalk in front of the usually-packed Shake Shack were closed by security during her visit.
According to nutritional information on Shake Shack’s Web site, the meal amounted to 1,700 calories.

How do you say hypocrite?  Is this the person you want taking over your children’s life and health.  (Hang on until 2012)

CALL TO ACTION - CA Gov. Browns Office to Conservative Californians, Leave the State!!!

Posted by Dara on July 12, 2011 at 4:32pm in Tea Party Nation Forum

Are we still living in the United States?  It is never alright for a Governor's office to tell any group to leave their State.  What happened and why was it caused?

According to this article at Red State Governor tells Conservatives to leave the State, the Spokesperson Gil Duran, for CA Governor Jerry Brown had this to say:

" “If you want to live in a Republican state with very conservative right-wing laws,

then there’s a place called Arizona,”

Let me get this straight, if we do not want Progressive policies, massive spending, crushing taxes, major unemployment, etc.  We should move?!!   I have a better idea.  How about all the Progressive, Marxist,Racist policymakers leave the State!

Here is an excerpt from the article referenced above showing why conservatives in California are so upset:

"Now, I don’t know about you, but saying that millions of residents should just leave the state if they don’t like California’s liberal laws, dysfunctional finances and horrendous business climate doesn’t really disprove the point that the Sacramento elite really and truly do not care about the Republican-leaning parts of the state or the people in them. California’s unemployment rate is 11.7% compared to 9.1% for the na... (given California’s size, I’d guess without doing the math that means the rest of the country may be as much as a full three points below CA). Even the NY Times says California’s budget crisis may be the worst ..., with a $26.6 billion budget deficit comprising nearly a third of the sta.... California owes $2,362 in debt per resident of the state, and pays ...; its A- credit rating from Standard & Poor’s is the worst in the nation. A recent budget deal only barely convinced S&P to avoid an imme...

Many of you have said you will stand with California and help us fight.  Now is the time I am asking you to act.  Please call Jerry Brown's office and inform him that NO Governor has the right to ignore and divide the People of his State!

Please call, email, or fax Jerry Brown's office and let him know how upset the whole Country is over this kind of attitude:

Obama and the Party of Treason

Down the memory hole

It is hard to believe that we are thirty months into the Obama regime.  The good news is that unless he can steal the election, and never underestimate that possibility from the Party of Treason, there are only another eighteen months to go.

The Obama and the Obama lap dog media still want to blame George Bush for the Obama depression.   The have conveniently forgotten a few facts worth remembering as we head into 2012.

The Obama regime is right about one thing.  When he took over, the economy was slumping.   Economies do not correct overnight.  It took the better part of three years before we saw improvement in the eighties under Reagan.

In February 2009, Obama demanded his stimulus bill.  He got an unprecedented $787 billion in spending through the Congress, which was then totally controlled by the Party of Treason.  Do you remember February 2009?  Those look like the good old days compared to today.

In February 2009, unemployment was 8.2 percent.  Of course, remember the numbers for unemployment are cooked.  During the Clinton administration, they changed the way they calculated the “unemployment” rates to make the economy look stronger, coincidentally, just in time for the 1996 elections.

In February 2009, Obama promised us that if this stimulus passed, the unemployment would fall below eight percent.  Unfortunately for the Obama regime, the guy who faked the Presidential Birth Certificate was not available to fake unemployment numbers.   The numbers rose to 8.6 percent and then 8.8 percent and have not been south of 8.8 percent since then.  Currently the “official rate” of unemployment is 9.2 percent.  The real rate is much higher since; those who are under-employed and those who have given up their search for employment are not counted.

We have trade deficits and budget deficits. Well now, we also have a job deficit.   Just to keep up with our population growth, America needs to create 125,000 jobs a month.  While Obama is claiming to be creating 100,000 to 200,000 a month back in May, the truth of the matter is the economy (not Obama nor the government) created only 25,000 jobs in May and only 18,000 in June.

Obama’s solution is to spend more money.  He wanted to spend two trillion dollars but the GOP stopped him.  If Obama’s last stimulus had driven unemployment from 8.2 percent to 9.2 percent, what would his doubled down stimulus do for us?  Take unemployment to 12 percent?

Creating jobs is not that hard.  If the Obama regime and the Party of Treason did not hate America so much and want to see America’s economy wrecked, it could be easily done.

How?

Make it easy to create jobs.  When you increase taxes and the cost of an employee, you have fewer employees.  Cut the regulations. When you create a bunch of silly regulations, you make it harder for businesses to create jobs or even make a profit.    Earth to Obama, in order for a business to hire new people, it has to be able to make a profit.  Of course, Obama and the Party of Treason know this. They simply do not want America to recover.

Obamanomics have not worked.  It has been a disaster for this country.  It has taken a recession and turned it into the Obama depression.

To paraphrase Ronald Reagan, “A recession occurs when your neighbor loses his job.  A depression occurs when you lose yours.  A recover occurs when Obama loses his.”

A recovery is only eighteen months away.

Hussein Obama’s Record

One only needs to look at Obama's record over the last two and a half years to see a man clearly hellbent on transforming America into at best, an oligarchical nanny state, and at worst, a beaten down America whose moribund patriotism eventually cedes to world socialism.

Since taking office, he's done everything to undermine his oath, the rule of law and the Constitution. It's blatantly obvious that he's selling America out to communists, anti-semites, and Islamic supremists.

Michele Bachmann vs. Hussein Obama

We are constantly told by the drive by media how brilliant Barack Obama is.  We are reminded he was a Constitutional Law Professor (he was not).  We are reminded that he was the Editor of the Harvard Law Review.   There is another lawyer in the race.  Someone who is brilliant, even though the drive by media will not talk about it.

Who is it and how do they compare to Barack Obama?

It is Michele Bachmann.

While the drive by media wants to try and mock Bachmann, she has a record that is much more substantial than that of Barack Obama.

From Real Clear Politics:

Michele Bachmann may come across as a "flake" to some members of the media, but that's not how her classmates at the O.W. Coburn School of Law at Oral Roberts University viewed her. Besides having a squeaky-clean reputation, Bachman is remembered by several of her classmates as being among the most studious in her class.

On the campaign trail, Bachmann often refers to her five years as a tax lawyer as a way to bolster her credibility on tax policy. Although details about that stretch of her career are hard to come by, her legal education offers a glimpse into her formative years.

"I was always sitting in the back row, and she was always sitting in the front row," recalled Mark W. Stewart, who is now a Toronto-based attorney. "She was keen and sincere and not much different than she is now," he added. "She was very prepared in class."

Another classmate, Rich Gradel, a year ahead of Bachmann at the Tulsa-based law school, said Bachmann and her husband, Marcus, had very good reputations and were regarded as "really nice folks."

"She was a very good student and was considered really intelligent," Gradel, a longtime Republican Party activist, said of the Minnesota congresswoman. "She had a reputation for just being sharp," he said, adding, "You have to have pretty good grades to be admitted to William & Mary from a place like Oral Roberts, which was a very new law school at the time."

After graduating from law school in 1986, Bachmann went on to earn a master of laws degree, an LL.M. in tax law, from the College of William & Mary, a well-regarded public university in Williamsburg, Va., in 1988.

The Full Article is here.

Compare that to Barack Obama.  What were Obama’s grades in Law School?  Who knows?  He’s never released them.  How about Columbia where he did his undergraduate work or Occidental College?  He’s never released those either.  Where are the classmates to run out and say how smart Obama was?  If there have been any of those interviews, somehow we have missed them.

National Libertarian Party President Wayne Root was at Columbia when Obama was there.  He does not remember Obama at Columbia.  In fact, no one has come forward to say they even remember him there.

Obama was a self admitted “poor student.”  Donald Trump, in his flirtation with running for President, said Obama was not even qualified for the Ivy League School for which he was admitted.  There have been a lot of questions about who pulled the strings to get Obama admitted to Harvard and how he even paid for Law School.

Michele Bachmann on the other hand was an outstanding student.   She went from Oral Roberts University Law School to the graduate program at William and Mary and then spent five years as a tax attorney.

When someone is the editor of the Harvard Law Review, they always become a clerk for a federal appellate judge before going on to clerk at the Supreme Court.

Why did Obama not go that route?

Almost three years after Obama was elected, we still know almost nothing about his background.  Michele Bachmann’s background is well known and the more we find out about her, the more cause we have to like her.

Oh, and did we mention, unlike Obama, she is a patriot who loves her country?

John Boehner and the GOP

2012 is going to be a very bad year for the Democrats.  They will probably lose the White House.  They are almost certainly going to lose control of the Senate and the GOP is most likely going to expand its domination in the House of Representatives.

There are few things that can stop this.   One of them is John Boehner and the GOP self-destructive desire to do really stupid things and commit political suicide.

Slavery

"Blacks were not enslaved because they were black but because they were available. Slavery has existed in the world for thousands of years. Whites enslaved other whites in Europe for centuries before the first black was brought to the Western hemisphere. Asians enslaved Europeans. Asians enslaved other Asians. Africans enslaved other Africans, and indeed even today in North Africa, blacks continue to enslave blacks."—Thomas Sowell
