Prefer "chairman" to "chair," "chairperson," or "chairwoman"; "fireman" to "firefighter"; etc.
Conservative women are quite robust and sensible enough not to worry about PC nonsense like our language's in-built "phallocentrism." However, when trying to give offense, "actress" is perfectly acceptable since liberal actresses who take themselves seriously much prefer the term "actor."
