Presbyterian Church

Over the years I have tried out a number of churches and last Sunday went to a Presbyterian church in Cohoes. I grew up in a Presbyterian church. This one wasn't the same formal service I was used to and expecting - it was very loose and well, different. It was friendly but I have to think about this one and then maybe decide whether it is for me or not.

They mentioned something call a "Purpose Driven Life" which I think is a book. I may have to look that up to see what it is all about.

Long Weekend

Labor day weekend is here and the grandkids will be going back to school very soon. . . and they are not too happy about it. I am sitting here watching a rerun of Monk on TV and boy it is very very funny.

I have to report to Jury Duty on Tuesday the 6th. I don't look forward to it but I guess I will survive it.

War Of The Worlds

A week or so ago we went to see the War of the Worlds movie and we both loved it. I had some reservations about it since I love the old version with Gene Barry but I soon changed my mind.

Fathers Day

This is fathers day and I plan to do nothing!

New Laptop

Well for fathers day I got a new laptop (ok I got it early) and am in the process of setting it up. I put most of my personal files on CD's and put a lot of them on the new laptop but am going to leave the others on Cd and only load them if I really need them. I am now downloading Open Source Office to load on my new computer . .. it's free and is pretty good.

Friday . . . Yay !

Thank God another Friday is here and I have 2 days off of work. Another week is done and fairly successfully . . . . our grandkids are coming over tomorrow and we are celebrating my grandsons 7th birthday. His big item this year is Star Wars and Darth Vader. . . hmmmmmmm.

Someday I will figure out how to put pictures in this thing. . . .

June 1st

Well here it is the first of June and it is my grandsons (Cameron) birthday - he is 7 years old today. Yesterday was my wifes (Dot) birthday. . . . I don't dare say how old. On Memorial day we went up to a Patriotic concert at Schroon Lake at the Word of Life Facilities.

Wireless Network

Danny borrowed a router and hooked it into our Roadrunner connection and then I got Dana's laptop to connect wirelessly to the internet and can take it anywhere and still be on the Internet. It is great!!!! When Danny returns the router I just might have to splurge and buy one. Of course when Dana goes back to school I won't have the laptop to use but guess I can use it whenever he comes home.
