Everything but the kitchen sink. Maybe a little poetry, sports, politics and religion. . . who knows ! Ok, turns out it is mostly politics.

Hello GOP – Good Bye
So the establishment Republicans ignore the American people again and put Boehner in for a third time.
Since voting for Republicans has the same result as voting for a Democrat / Liberal I will never vote republican again. I will vote
for an Independent or a LIbertarian or a Conservative but never again a Republican.
Thanks For Letting Us Know Where You Draw Your "Free Speech" Line, AP...

The AP has standards. Well, they CLAIM to have them, anyway. Which is laughable. When it comes to free speech, they might as well get in line with the New York Times. People with brains know exactly what they represent.
You see, the AP didn't publish the Charlie Hebdo Muhammad cartoons because, and this is a direct quote as told to the Daily Beast, "It's been our policy for years that we refrain from moving deliberately provocative images."
Mmmm hmmm. They refrain from provocative images. Riiiiiiiiiight.
You know what's NOT provocative for the AP?
The Virgin Mary covered in elephant feces (until it was taken down because people were outraged, I suppose?). And it was totally OK to sell an image of a Christian Crucifix sitting in a jar of urine called "Piss Christ." Yep. The Washington Examiner did a piece about "Piss Christ" and how the AP sucks monkeyballs (my words, not theirs, obviously) in their differentiation between what the AP considers provocative or not. Basically, if it's Christian, well, just defecate and pee on it. Duh. But every other religion? TOTALLY PROVOCATIVE, y'all.
Because nowadays...Christians don't matter, right?
The AP - like most liberal media outlets who claim to be "journalists" these days - is a JOKE.
But you just keep telling people you have standards, AP. Bless your hearts.
NBC vs GOD
As reported by Todd Starnes -
NBC omits “God” from Pledge of Allegiance… again
By Todd Starnes
Published January 08, 2015
It seems the folks over at Rockefeller Center have a problem with the Almighty.
An astute reader pointed out that NBC has once again omitted God from the Pledge of Allegiance. The omission happened during a commercial promoting the network’s upcoming spy thriller called “Allegiance.” How’s that for a coincidence?
“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands,” a chorus of voices intones in the spot. “One nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
It’s not the first time the Peacock Network has dissed a deity.
“Allegiance” is about a young CIA agent who learns his parents are former covert Russian spies who may be plotting a terrorist attack inside the United States. I’m assuming the CIA agent is the good guy – but then again – we’re talking about NBC, folks.
I reached out to NBC to find out why they have a problem with God but so far no one has returned my telephone call. I probably would’ve had a better chance of finding an NBC executive at a Wednesday night church supper.
It’s not the first time the Peacock Network has dissed a deity.
In 2011 NBC was forced, yes forced, to apologize after they omitted the phrase “one nation under God” from its coverage over the U.S. Open Championship. It happened not once, but twice.
The omission ignited a firestorm on Twitter, the New York Daily News reported at the time.
“Why does mainstream America not trust media? Simple, you can’t get Pledge of Allegiance right, why trust you to tell us anything else? #NBC,” Pastor Michael Catt tweeted at the time.
NBC released a statement to the trade publication Broadcasting & Cable and said the decision to eliminate God was “made by a small group of people.”
“This was a bad decision,” NBC stated.
You think?
And how can we forget about MSNBC?
In 2013 Rev. Al Sharpton, refused to utter “under God” during a “Lean Forward” commercial for the cable network.
In fairness to the “reverend” it may have been a simple oversight – seeing how he has a rather troubled past when reading off a TelePrompTer.
“Allegiance” will premiere Feb. 5 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
Lord have mercy.

Companies Funding Al Sharpton
From “Chicks On The Right”
So, About Those Companies Funding Al Sharpton's National Action Network...
Written by MockarenaA few days ago, Daisy wrote about a bunch of companies who give money to Al Sharpton's National Action Network (NAN), so that our readers could make informed choices about where they spend their hard-earned money. She used less-than-flattering terms to describe how she felt about those companies for supporting a cretin like Al Sharpton in any way.
Some folks wrote to us complaining that we were being too hard on those companies, because they'd been bullied into donating to Sharpton's organization - threatened of being labeled racist if they didn't.
I'm not sure why that's supposed to make us feel better about those companies. You're telling me freaking Wal-Mart, Fed-Ex, Pepsi, Pfizer, and the others are afraid of AL SHARPTON? Seriously?
Anyway, according to this, Sharpton accepts "hush money" from these companies to "silence the ongoing cries of racism." And according to the same link, these companies contact Sharpton to help them "polish their image" so that they don't appear racist. Once he's got his claws in them, he asks for more and more money to keep his whole scam going. And even though he apparently is ROLLING in cash as a result, he still can't manage to pay his own taxes.
According to the National Legal and Policy Center's chairman, "Sharpton specializes in shakedowns."
So yeah, if you're one of those people who were upset that we called out those companies, because they're being extorted by Al Sharpton - WHY are you ok with companies like these allowing themselves to be extorted by Al Sharpton? If I were the CEO of Wal-mart or Fed-Ex or any of these corporations, I'd be taking out full-page ads in the New York Times to explain exactly what's happening. It's time that Sharpton stopped being allowed to have so much unwarranted power. And multi billion dollar companies who are afraid he's going to call them raaaaaacist are freaking cowardly. Unless Sharpton has video of all of these CEOs attending Ku Klux Klan meetings, these CEOs need to man up and call this tax-evading, race-baiting jerk out once and for all.
ENOUGH.

Pope Francis’ suggested New Year’s resolutions
Posted on January 1, 2015 by Cindy Wooden
(CNS/Paul Haring)
VATICAN CITY — When Pope Francis met before Christmas with Vatican employees, mostly lay people with families, he asked them to do 10 things. The list sounded remarkably like suggestions for New Year’s resolutions:
– “Take care of your spiritual life, your relationship with God, because this is the backbone of everything we do and everything we are.”
– “Take care of your family life, giving your children and loved ones not just money, but most of all your time, attention and love.”
– “Take care of your relationships with others, transforming your faith into life and your words into good works, especially on behalf of the needy.”
– “Be careful how you speak, purify your tongue of offensive words, vulgarity and worldly decadence.”
– “Heal wounds of the heart with the oil of forgiveness, forgiving those who have hurt us and medicating the wounds we have caused others.”
– “Look after your work, doing it with enthusiasm, humility, competence, passion and with a spirit that knows how to thank the Lord.”
– “Be careful of envy, lust, hatred and negative feelings that devour our interior peace and transform us into destroyed and destructive people.”
– “Watch out for anger that can lead to vengeance; for laziness that leads to existential euthanasia; for pointing the finger at others, which leads to pride; and for complaining continually, which leads to desperation.”
– “Take care of brothers and sisters who are weaker … the elderly, the sick, the hungry, the homeless and strangers, because we will be judged on this.”
UPDATE because we initially didn’t include No. 10:
– Making sure your Christmas is about Jesus and not about shopping.
