Hawaii Five-0

Since I realized that the final song on the most recent episode contained a familiar Christmas song but they cut out the lines about the Virgin Mary and the manger etc. . . .I have decided that I don’t like that show enough to continue watching it. They decided that it is ok to offend the millions of Christians that watch the show. . . . well many of us are no longer putting up with it but are becoming more vocal. Good Bye Hawaii
Five-0 !! ! ! ! ! !

The Upper Room for Dec 13th, 2014

Read Acts 2:46-47

Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”

- Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)

Today's Devotional

From the pulpit in our church, one can see the seam in the carpet that separates the two shades of red carpet pieces. The seam represents the point where the old sanctuary was enlarged in the early 1990s because this small country church needed more seats for people to come and worship. Yes, from the front of the church I can see the problem, but it’s not the two shades of carpet. The problem is that in the 20 years after the expansion, no more seams have been needed. The growth stopped. The congregation dwindled. Somewhere along the way, the vision shifted away from reaching out to others.

The early church knew how to grow. They did not change their vision or stop reaching out. With the people’s response on the Day of Pentecost, it might have been easy to turn the focus inward. But instead the early Christians continued to preach the gospel to all the world. Hopefully someday all of our church buildings will have noticeable seams as God uses us to reach out to others and draw them into the family.

Seven More States Join Suit Against Obama's Amnesty Bringing Total To 24

Seven states joined Texas's lawsuit challenging President Obama's executive amnesty plan this week, brining the total number of states on the suit to 24.

"More than 20 states have joined our challenge against the president’s unilateral executive action to bypass Congress and rewrite immigration laws," Texas Attorney General and governor-elect Greg Abbott said in a release. "The president’s proposed executive decree violates the U.S. Constitution and federal law, circumvents the will of the American people and is an affront to the families and individuals who follow our laws to legally immigrate to the United States.”

The list of states now suing Obama over his unilateral amnesty now includes: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, South Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Plaintiffs received a huge boost to their cause Monday when the same judge who once called Obama's immigration policy a "criminal conspiracy" was assigned to hear the case. And last week, Abbott filed a motion for a preliminary injunction which could stop the amnesty before legal documents are scheduled to be handed out this June.

Christmas cookie rules.

Christmas Cookie Rules
1. If you eat a Christmas cookie fresh out of the oven, it has no calories because everyone knows that the first cookie is the test and thus calorie free.

2. If you drink a diet soda after eating your second cookie, it also has no calories because the diet soda cancels out the cookie calories.

3. If a friend comes over while you're making your Christmas cookies and needs to sample, you must sample with your friend. Because your friend's first cookie is calories free, (rule #1) yours is also. It would be rude to let your friend sample alone and, being the friend that you are, that makes your cookie calorie free.

4. Any cookie calories consumed while walking around will fall to your feet and eventually fall off as you move. This is due to gravity and the density of the caloric mass.

5. Any calories consumed during the frosting of the Christmas cookies will be used up because it takes many calories to lick excess frosting from a knife without cutting your tongue.

6. Cookies colored red or green have very few calories. Red ones have three and green ones have five - one calorie for each letter. Make more red ones!

7. Cookies eaten while watching "Miracle on 34th Street" have no calories because they are part of the entertainment package and not part of one's personal fuel.

8. As always, cookie pieces contain no calories because the process of breaking causes calorie leakage.

9. Any cookies consumed from someone else's plate have no calories since the calories rightfully belong to the other person and will cling to their plate. We all know how calories like to CLING!

10. Any cookies consumed while feeling stressed have no calories because cookies used for medicinal purposes NEVER have calories. It's a rule!
So, go out and enjoy those Christmas Cookies - - we only get them this time of year!

Wisdom from Facebook

By Duke Hergatt of Temple Baptist Church

Every time our president opens his mouth he makes me love Jesus more. The gates of hell can't prevail against Christ's church. That is not a promise to America. I greatly fear for our nation. Politics have replaced virtue. Our constitution is being ignored. Our media is corrupt. Man just proves again man can't fix man 's problems. My trust is in the Word of God.. Not in the words of elected officials.

#Shirtstorm Is Just One More Reason That Liberal Feminism Is Completely Stupid.

Written by Mockarena (Chicks on the Right)

Cathy Young, of Reason magazine, wrote a great column about the #Shirtstorm surrounding a scientist from the Rosetta mission. If you haven't heard about this, you should know that a British physicist, Matt Taylor, wore a really hideous t-shirt to a press appearance about the landing of the space probe on a comet, and as a result, Perpetually Offended Liberal Feminist Hosebeasts couldn't cope.

Here's the shirt in question.

The AP description, "garish shirt featuring a collage of pin-up girls" is pretty accurate. I mean, let's face it. The shirt is heinous. But you would have thought, based on the reaction of feminists, that he''d worn a shirt that said, "I love rape" on it or something. A "journalist" from the Atlantic, Rose Eveleth, tweeted, "Thanks for ruining the cool comet landing for me a-hole."

She seriously allowed a dude's clothing choice to RUIN the comet landing for her, you guys. And these are the chicks that claim to be all empowered? These are the chicks who screech for women's equality? Yeah - way to help with that cause, moron. Find me a single dude who would allow a woman's shirt to "ruin the cool comet landing" for him. You want equality? Then freaking MAN UP and don't go whining about a dude's SHIRT ruining your fun.

But Rose wasn't the only one deeply wounded by Matt Taylor's fashion. Another headline on Verge magazine read, "I don't care if you landed a spacecraft on a comet, your shirt is sexist and ostracizing." Yeah. Forget amazing feats of science and the demonstration of man's exceptional technological capabilities. He's wearing a shirt that hurts someone's feeeeeelings!!!

The worst part? Matt Taylor tearfully apologized, you guys. He got beaten down by the whining of feminist harpies, and he freaking TEARFULLY APOLOGIZED.

Why are we tolerating this crap? The women who can't emotionally deal with a guy's stupid shirt make all women look really weak and pathetic.

Another woman tweeted, "His shirt says to women in STEM: I have no respect for you as a professional. When I look at you, I see a sex object."

What a total load of monkey droppings. As Cathy Young points out in her column, the DAY BEFORE Taylor's appearance in The Shirt, he tweeted to his followers that they should all follow the Rosetta project scientist Claudia Alexander. And it turns out, he received the shirt as a birthday present from a FEMALE FRIEND. Those shrieking harpies complaining about Taylor's shirt would have served their cause a whole lot better by promoting the work of all of Taylor's female teammates, who exemplify what feminism should be all about. But nope. Instead, they're all emotionally damaged by a freaking shirt.

Cathy writes, "The message of ShirtStorm, meanwhile, is that aspiring female scientists can be undone by some sexy pictures on a shirt—and that women’s presence in science requires men to walk on eggshells, curb any goofy humor that may offend the sensitive and be cowed into repentance for any misstep."

Exactly. And this is what we talk about in great detail in Chapter 5 of Right for a Reason. We talk a lot about the kind of society we'll be living in if we allow these lunatics to keep muzzling people with political correctness. Arm yourself with the information in that book, y'all.

Meanwhile, as Cathy astutely notes, hypocrisy in these culture wars is rampant. Women are apparently allowed to be disgusting, vulgar skanks in the name of "agency" and "female empowerment" (See: lyrics to pretty much any Beyonce song) but Robin Thicke's catchy tune "Blurred Lines" has been categorized as a "rape anthem" and banned from college campuses. The double standard is out of control. Imagine if a female scientist had worn a similar shirt as Taylor had, only with cartoon dudes all over it. Would there be the same outcry? Of course not. She probably would have been mocked for wearing a heinous shirt, and that would be that. No guys would be crying big crocodile tears over feeling sexually objectified.

And this is why liberal feminists are worthy of such scorn. They are pathetic crybabies who do exactly nothing to promote the strength and awesomeness of women.

Really: NY Legislator Wants Warning Labels on Soda

Cortney O'Brien | Nov 16, 2014

Warning: You’re about to drink a very sugary substance! As if you didn’t know that already…

A New York assemblyman who’s apparently trying to be the next Michael Bloomberg has just introduced legislation to include warning labels on sodas, syrups and concentrates. More from the New York Observer:

Assemblyman Karim Camara today unveiled new legislation that would slap warning labels on bottles of soda and other sugar-heavy beverages to notify consumers of the risks of diabetes, obesity and tooth decay associated with the drinks.

A little excessive, huh? Nevertheless, Camara offered this defense of his proposed bill:

“This is about a pragmatic piece of legislation. This is not about an attack on an industry for the sake of the industry. This about doing what’s best for children and adults in our society,” said Mr. Camara. “We cannot afford for our children to continue to be overweight, to continue to have learning problems, to have health problems that may lead to difficult lives and at times illnesses that can lead to the loss of life.”

Yeah, a warning label should do it.

New Yorkers shouldn’t have to stare at stickers that shout the dangers of drinking soda. This is America - we should be able to drink a cold glass of Coca-Cola without feeling guilty. We know it’s not the healthiest beverage option in the world, but it’s our choice. And darnit, it tastes good!

New Yorkers and beverage industries shouldn’t be too worried, however, considering how that ambitious Big Gulp ban in the Big Apple ended.

New Yorkers don’t need a nanny. Legislators like Camara need a new hobby

Jonathan Gruber’s previous employer

  • Posted by Judson Phillips on November 17, 2014 at 6:43am in Tea Party Nation Forum
  • Anyone remember Jonathan Gruber’s previous employer?

Jonathan Gruber is the MIT professor who has been in the news the last few days for finally telling everyone what we already knew. Obamacare was sold to us on a lie. Everything about Obamacare was a lie.

Gruber knew it was a lie. So did his boss, Barack Obama.

Gruber’s continued employment by MIT pretty much destroys the myth that MIT just hires the best and the brightest. They certainly hire the most dishonest and the corrupt.

Before there was Barack Obama, there was Mitt Romney.

That’s right, the 2012 GOP nominee was Gruber’s previous employer.

Gruber and Obama sold Obamacare in part on Romneycare in Massachusetts. Turns out the only way Romneycare worked was with massive subsidies from the federal government and even that was not enough.

As Jonathan Gruber now becomes a household name, his former boss Mitt Romney is making the rounds again. He appeared this weekend on CBS’ Face the Nation. Romney claims he isn’t running for President but all indications are he is going to do it again.

Isn’t that special. The candidate who lost the race that could not be lost is running again.

Romney doesn’t want the GOP to fight Obama on executive amnesty. He says there are “better ways” to handle the situation.

Romney’s definition of “better ways” includes complete Republican surrender on the issue of amnesty and passing the so-called “Gang of Eight” bill.

Why the hell is anyone even giving Romney the time of day?

CBS and the drive by media are. They would love to see the GOP be so stupid as to nominate Romney again. For the left, their dream match up for 2016 would be Mitt Romney versus Elizabeth Warren. That would almost certainly ensure that Elizabeth Warren won. Even if she did not win, a Romney Presidency would be almost as good and almost as far to the left.

Jonathan Gruber’s video candor about Obamacare is the gift that keeps giving. Since Gruber likes to run his mouth, it is probably a safe bet these are not the only videos out there.

Inquiring minds want to know. What did Gruber have to say about Romney care and when did Mitt Romney know it?

    Sunday School

A Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her
five and six year olds. After explaining the commandment to "honor thy
father and thy mother," she asked, "Is there a commandment that teaches
us how to treat our brothers and sisters?" Without missing a beat one
little boy (the oldest of a family) answered, "Thou shall not kill."

    After-Birth Abortion?

August 23, 2012 by Bristol Palin

Did you know that some liberal “scholars” published an article in a supposedly reputable journal suggesting that it should be just as permissible to kill a newborn baby as it is to kill an unborn child? What will this journal publish next? An argument for killing Jews? For reinstating slavery? Our abortion culture is creating a world where what should be unthinkable is being actively debated in the “best” of publications.

I know that I’m sensitive to questions about whether life is “worth living” or “worth protecting” even when babies are disabled or moms face challenges. After all, my brother is disabled, and I was a teenage mom. But I’d hope and expect that even the people who dislike me, who dislike my beliefs, and who dislike my family can unite in believing that it’s a shame that at least a few members of our cultural elite have lost all respect for vulnerable human life, and it’s a further shame that a widely-read journal gave them a platform for their hate.

What Is It With Liberal Ivy League Brats' Obsession With Anal Sex?

    From Chicks on the Right

    Written by Daisy

According to Campus Reform, Rick Perry made a visit to Dartmouth College, and on the Democrat side of the aisle, there were some disgusting questions - about anal sex. Because of course there was.

One of the questions included, "I know you have been very strong on all foreign policy issues, including Somali pirates, but what is your stance on butt pirates?"

    Knee-slapping hilarious, right?

It's easy to be this funny when your Mommy and Daddy are more than likely mortgaging their home to shell out $61,000 a year for your education, I suppose. (And that doesn't cover your J.Crew allowance. God knows you gotta have that to go with the smug look on your pretentious face.)

Anywho, a kid named Ben Packer is the one who spearheaded that question and others. And he passed out a list of said questions before the event - on a little flyer - and gave that list to other students:

Also at the event, he asked if Perry would "accept anal sex in exchange for $102 million in campaign contributions." Because Democrat punks are classy that way, as are all left-leaning Ivy leaguers, these days, apparently. Y'all remember when I wrote just a about a week ago about Harvard offering a workshop called "What What in the Butt: Anal Sex 101"? That happened. Seriously - WHAT is their OBSESSION WITH ANAL SEX? And why do we have to discuss it at the college level, as if it's something we actually need to discuss? Or TEACH, for that matter? Can we maybe have a workshop about the economy, perhaps? Or about national security? Anal play is really what we need to discuss, Dartmouth, kid? Really? That is what you want to discuss with a man like Rick Perry?

    Wow.

Yet Dartmouth is what people tell me is a bastion of higher education in this country. This is considered "ivy league." It apparently warrants 61K a year.

And people wonder why kids are opting out of college and learning trades...

You want to know what's really funny? Ben Packer. And pretty much all "ivy league" schools in our country right now.

We No Longer Believe The Press. Will The GOP Be Next?

  • Posted by Jeff Dover on November 11, 2014 at 11:30am
  • The press failed to make a difference in the last election, not that they didn't try with their usual skewed polls. Here are some of their failed efforts of distraction and advocacy: Writing today, Alan Caruba recounted how the voters threw "climate change" into the garbage pail where it belongs. It made no difference in the 2014 voting despite the nearly hundred million dollars that so-called “environmental organizations” spent on their candidates. (I refer to them as “so-called” because I’m certain that they are only fronts for anti-capitalist, totalitarian regime wannabes). We told them to “take a hike” with our votes. Ditto the “war against women”. That totally blubbed and sank, despite the hysterical claims, duly reported and discussed by our “unbiased” media. Then has anyone noticed that all of a sudden, now that the elections are over, ebola virus and the attendant hysteria is off the front pages? What? Did someone find the cure? Did the disease suddenly become less dangerous? Where did it go? Ditto ISIS. Has anyone noticed that ISIS suddenly isn't the crisis that it was just prior to the elections?

Not to worry, though. The enviro-jerks will renew their efforts to advance ridiculous charges and claims, idiocies we can count on our press to diligently follow, report and indulge in discussion as if they deserved credence. As Rush Limbaugh used to be fond of saying, liberals are wacky when they’re in power, but get even wackier when they’re out of power. In evidence of that, Rush mentioned on his show yesterday that the Left is presently trying to press the idea that a new "cold war" is in progress -- just in time to coincide with the Republican majorities and the strong likelihood that the next president will be a Republican. This will be their new, big fear offensive. Limbaugh’s contention is that as soon as Democrats are out of power, they begin the dialogue that the world is in danger because of Republican policies, conjuring the threat of global nuclear warfare. Of course, the press’s initiative with this cold war thing ignores the fact that there no longer exists a rationale for a “cold war”. Oh well, liberals never did have to make any sense to motivate their fans. In their fear-mongering, the Left sidesteps reporting and analysis of the power vacuum left by Obama’s regime, a vacuum which has emboldened so many nations, including Russia, to commence various military actions. Almost unbelievably and to me, personally embarrassing as a US citizen, it turns out that Obama has been engaging in “secret” negotiations by letter with Iran’s leadership. The Iranian newspapers have been publishing the letters!! Obama thinks he’s negotiating in good faith, secretly, and Iran is putting it all out in front of its public! That’s how much respect they have for Obama. What can our friends and allies– any that we still have – think? Yet where did I hear about that? Not from our mainstream media. I heard it on Rush Limbaugh’s show yesterday. But when you think of it, it’s understandable: how could the mainstream media report on this embarrassing and dangerous episode created by an incompetent Democrat president and at the same time try to raise worries about Republicans creating a new cold war?

What’s important, however, is that despite their efforts to distort and distract, the public didn’t take the bait. In fact, on election night, the Fox ratings blew all the others out of the water. Now here come the mainstream media, following all these failures, trying to suck us into worrying about the Republicans in office. No one listened to them in the election lead-up and yet they believe that by repeating the same sorts of ridiculous stories, concocted for the effect, that we’ll start listening to them once again? I think that’s over. We’ve heard it all before, from racism to the new “cold war” and all the silliness in between. We no longer believe their lies in large enough numbers to matter.

I’m cautiously thrilled with the new GOP majority, but I believe that there’s a warning in this for them too. They stiffed us during the Bush years and did so again through 2014 following the the landslide we handed them in 2010. We handed them another, even bigger landslide this month but it’s different now. We expect results and we’re watching…really watching. Hearing McConnell and McCain talk at the outset evokes zero confidence, but they had better get a clue. We’re wise to the press and we’ve thrown them under the bus. If Republicans continue to perform for their big financial interests while thumbing their noses at their base and the vast majority of those who cast their votes for them in 2014, like the press, they will find that no one believes them any longer. And like that press which has been replaced in large part by internet outlets for news and opinion, they might find that their party is replaced with a party which responds to its people. They might believe that it will be “business as usual”…but it won’t be.

    My Determined Purpose

    By Greg Laurie

    MONDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2014

    DEVOTION
    My Determined Purpose

Don't let the world around you squeeze you into its own mould, but let God re-mould your minds from within, so that you may prove in practice that the plan of God for you is good, meets all his demands and moves towards the goal of true maturity.

    —Romans 12:2

With the world the way it is today, with things getting darker and darker and going from bad to worse, it seems to me the only way to live these days is as a completely sold-out Christian—not as a fence-sitter trying to blend in, but as someone who says, "I want to walk with God and live a real Christian life."
Paul said that his determined purpose in life was to know Christ (see Philippians 3:10-14). What is your determined purpose in life? When you get up in the morning, what do you live for? What are your goals? What are your priorities?
If you don't have a goal, you're in serious trouble because, as it has been said, if you aim at nothing, you're bound to hit it. Can you say with Paul, "My determined purpose in life is to know Him"? I hope so.
Think of the way that God used Paul. He had led countless people to faith, established churches out on the frontiers of his world, and wrote letters that we regard today as the very inspired Word of God. Yet Paul realized he had so much to learn and so far to go.
It's hard for us to think that someone like Paul would face the struggles and temptations we all face. But indeed he did. How much more should we be saying that we need to change radically in this coming year? We need to become more like Christ in this coming year—and don't let anyone pull the wool over your eyes . . . all of us have a long, long way to go.

    Migrant Workers

Thanks to a local Pastor for this posting on Facebook.

“My RANT for the day. We have an awesome farming family in our church that hires legal migrant workers. The list of regulations they must comply with are ridiculous but they comply. Government enforcement agents are relentless to always find some violation and write threatening citations. Meanwhile just cross town are the businesses hiring illegals, giving them far less, treating them less humanely and yet not a whisper from the government regulators. When government rewards the criminal and oppresses the compliant we are in big trouble. So glad I got Jesus and knowing none of this crap will make it into His Kingdom soon to come. There...I feel better now.”

Epic Stomping Of Wendy Davis In The Election

    From Chicks on the Right

    Friday, 11/07/2014 - 02:45 pm EST

Let's Take A Few Minutes To Soak In The Epic Stomping Of Wendy Davis In The Election Tuesday. Because LOOK!

    Written by Mockarena

The National Review has the most delicious write-up about Wendy Davis' loss in Texas Tuesday, y'all.

They call her "overexposed" and a "publicity-stunt actress with show-stopping athletic shoes."

They say, that just like President Obama, Wendy Davis may be "constitutionally incapable of humility."

    I love that.

But one of the most astute observations was about her build up by the Democratic machine, and the silence of that same machine after she was obliterated by Abbott. The column says:

For Davis was, indeed, a star made, not born — specially selected by the national Democratic party Powers-That-Be as the messiah who would bring peace and social justice to the Texas wilds. That is, until it became clear that she did not stand a chance against Republican Greg Abbott, at which point the national machine withdrew its support and left Davis a sacrificial lamb. MSNBC prostrated itself before Davis in the days and weeks following her filibuster. After briefly noting her loss Tuesday night, the network never mentioned her again. Wendy? Wendy who?

To be fair, it was hard to find a silver lining in her performance. Davis not only lost by a full 20 points (59.3 to 38.9 percent, according to Politico) and just under 1 million votes. She lost easy Democratic areas, such as San Antonio’s Bexar County and Houston’s Harris County. She lost women, according to exit polls. She lost two-thirds of voters over the age of 50. She lost self-styled “moderates.” She lost anyone with a high-school degree or more.

But here's the best news of all. Wendy also lost her state senate seat, and it went to Konni Burton, a tea-partying, pro-life Republican.

    LOVE.

"Obama has always been a small man with thin-skin..."

From a daily newsletter I get: Brutally Honest

This morning I articulated bluntly how I felt about Obama's reaction to Tuesday's electoral drubbing, a drubbing revealing the country's clear disgust with his policies and with those who've supported those policies.

This afternoon, I find that the Anchoress has weighed in on Obama's dismissiveness as only she can:

Although very likely we all hoped, sincerely had hoped, that it would be otherwise, President Obama could not find anything like grace, maturity, professionalism, magnanimity or humility when responding to the undeniable drubbing his party took — largely, it would seem, due to the weight of his own
    hubris-laden anchor — in yesterday’s election.

Despite the availability of Peggy Noonan’s excellent prompts, Barack Obama at his press conference today was tone-deaf, singularly graceless and spectacularly clueless, as well:

From all appearances Wednesday, the president won’t change—not his policies, not his style, not his staff, not nothing. Defiant and begrudging, the president said he would meet with GOP leaders, seek their suggestions for common ground, and maybe grab a drink with Senate Majority Leader-to-Be Mitch McConnell. Beyond that, meh.

Even for a mortified-seeming Chris Matthews, the thrill is gone.

Obama has always been a small man with thin-skin, boasting only a defensiveness that belied his superficial polish, and so little imagination that he believed the words “I won” constituted outreach to the loyal opposition.

This afternoon, the country that had just put “paid” to the realities of his brand of “hope-and-change” dared to hope — just one more time — that Barack Obama would act like a president instead of a spoiled prince-ling. And when he failed, again, there seemed to be a collective sigh of lost patience, full-disillusionment and, finally, disgust.

She's got more including a poignant and pointed video snippet well worth the link click.

    Go. Laugh. Then cry.

How in God's name did this guy ever get elected.

It's the question of the age, to which the answer of course is completely and utterly depressing.

    2014 Election

Well the Republicans had a good night and they now have the majority. The problem is while I am happy about it I know that the Republicans will do a lot of foot stomping but will not have enough strength and balls to actually do anything worthwhile. Yep I expect we now have what I call Democrat Lite. . . . but at least we can slow the descent into Socialist Hell.

    From PC(USA) to Wesleyan

After growing up in a Presbyterian Church and spending my life in that denomination I am now thinking seriously about changing to a different church. The last PC(USA) General Assembly made me realize that they no longer represent my values and beliefs. I am exploring a local Wesleyan Church and will probably join it in the near future.

I am not a person who likes change but sometimes I just have to accept it.

An Open Letter to the GOP

From the “Chicks On The Right”

    Written by Daisy

    Hey there GOP,

I know y'all are busy these days. There's that whole midterm election thing happening, and then the chatter about a rematch between Bush and Clinton (anyone have a van full of vodka I can borrow?). But if you could just listen for a minute to a nobody Mom/wife/author/radio host/columnist/political activist out here in Indiana, that'd be great.

No seriously. LISTEN UP. I'm going to remind you again of something I've been screaming at you for ALMOST SIX YEARS NOW...

This is how Democrats win elections. THIS.

They use a crappy magazine - like Cosmopolitan - and they go on the road with a bunch of "shirtless male models" to try to "persuade female college students to vote this election day." Yep. They're doing that. They're going to North Carolina - a swing state - because Democrats know how to get the low-fos. The low-information voters. And they get 'em good.

    See 2008 and 2012 elections.

Now, I detest Cosmo almost as much as I hate Marie Claire. But young girls love that trash. And they eat it up as voraciously as Kardashian spawn inject collagen in their face.

Students at North Carolina State will be offered a ride to the polls on Nov. 4 on “a party bus equipped with snacks, prizes and shirtless male models courtesy of Cosmopolitan magazine,” Technician online – the student newspaper – reports.

This is actually happening. Because THIS IS WHAT THEY DO.

And in case you didn't know, "Cosmopolitan has been a reliable proponent of the Obama administration and its policies." It's just slightly left. HELLO.

I'm not saying that the tactic is remotely classy. Or even in the realm of tasteful. At all. In fact, it repulses me and makes me weep for my daughter's future here in these United States of America that THIS IS WHERE WE ARE in politics. This is what the left is doing to get votes. This is what they have to do, because they can't rely on substance or character or actual competence anymore. But it gives one insight into the level of moron that we're dealing with. The level of pop culture that politics has sunk to.

    Pay attention, GOP. Wake up.

Because the right needs to start playing them at their own, sick, twisted, ridiculous game - even just a little - if we want to win elections. And no - I'm not asking for conservatives to get shirtless male models and parade them around college campuses like Democrats do. I'm not asking the GOP to make stupid videos that have unattractive, untalented liberal feminists dancing around in granny panties and whining about ladyparts and deforestation as being the most important things Americans are concerned about these days (yeah, riiiiiiiiiiiiight...they're really mad about trees...mmm hmmm).

I'm just asking for you to pay attention and USE this crap against them. Use pop culture and social media and everything you have at your disposal - young people included - to make them look like the absolute JOKES that they are.

They are serving the stupid up to you on a platter. It's right there for the taking. USE IT. Please.

And if you need advice on how to do that, feel free to call the Chicks. I know y'all love to pretend we're not here...along with our 700,000+ friends and counting (gained organically, without any advertising, because conservatives are hungry for straight talk, GOP...I digress), but we're still working tirelessly for you.

We'll be over here, waiting for you to call, and we're happy to help out in any way that we can with that fire-against-fire thing. Still.

Because damn. This isn't brain surgery. It doesn't require think tanks. I'm getting exhausted, and I know I'm not alone.

    Love,
    Daisy

The Latest Example Of Progressives Being Hypersensitive, Perpetually Offended Hosebeasts And Shutting Down A Charitable Event.

    From “Chicks on the Right”

    Written by Mockarena

I swear, some people need to be throat-punched.

According to this, a philanthropic event being jointly sponsored by Kappa Kappa Gamma and Zeta Beta Tau at Northwestern University has been cancelled because some progressive morons think it's racist.

Have you ever participated in one of those fake jail charity things - where, for example, you're fake arrested and fake held prisoner in a fake jail until your friends/family donate real money to secure your fake release, and then the real money goes towards a charity? They're quite common, actually. It's a cute way to get people to donate to a cause, and it's all in good fun, and charities get money, and everyone's happy.

That's what the folks at Northwestern were trying to do, and the funds raised were to be donated to Reading Is Fundamental, a non-profit child literacy organization.

But nooooooooooo. The Perpetually Offended Brigade decided that the event was racist.

    For real.

One student wrote “You’re employing aspects, the orange jumpsuits, of an oppressive system that operates as a massive emcumbrance [sic] to the lives and literacy rates of black and brown children in these ‘underprivileged’ areas.”

A kid named Ajay Nadig, a sophomore, wrote a letter to the editor complaining that the event was offensive to racial minorities and economically disadvantaged groups. He explained further on his facebook page:

This is the kind of nonsense that campuses are dealing with now. Shutting down charitable events because someone might be offended by something. I am so sick of everything being interpreted as racist or offensive by people who have nothing better to do than manufacture faux outrage. People like this probably well-intentioned sophomore are systematically ruining any chance this country has of staying free. That may sound like an overstatement, but that's the effect of political correctness - it stifles free speech. Period.
Everyone's gotten so freaking sensitive, that good deeds like the event Greek houses were trying to host are being shut down. And who is hurt by that? CHARITIES.

So way to go, Ajay. Way. To. Go.

In Ajay's letter to the editor, he wrote, "[T]he fact that a group of wealthy Northwestern students are ‘playacting’ at being prisoners (most of whom are poor) is a blatant belittling of the realities of mass incarceration and the prison-industrial complex.” This is what he Actually Thinks, you guys. That the Greek system needs to be "more aware of the racial undertones of their events."
NO. What needs to happen is that clowns like Ajay need to CALM THE F*CK DOWN and not read race into absolutely everything. Intent DOES matter. It matters a lot, actually.

But Ajay disagrees. He says, "It falls upon Greek life to be extra cognizant, not upon others to have thicker skins.” What a load of crap. Do these people not realize what will happen to our society if this kind of nonsense persists? People will stop communicating with one another altogether, for fear of being labeled racist or politically incorrect or insensitive or whatever. People will be so afraid of offending someone that they simply will stay quiet. It's ABSURD. It's the most insidious way that progressives are changing the landscape at American universities. And it is, without question, a threat to free speech.

    UGH.

The Party Of Fraud (Democrat) Is At It Again

  • Posted by Judson Phillips on October 23, 2014 at 5:37am in Tea Party Nation Forum
  • In Cook County Illinois, the dead vote. Everyone has known that for years. There is even a running joke about people putting a clause in their will that they will not leave their vote to the Democrat Party.

But it appears that Party of Treason and voter fraud is ramping up its efforts to steal elections.

    From Fox News:

Early voting in Illinois got off to a rocky start Monday, as votes being cast for Republican candidates were transformed into votes for Democrats.

Republican state representative candidate Jim Moynihan went to vote Monday at the Schaumburg Public Library.

“I tried to cast a vote for myself and instead it cast the vote for my opponent,” Moynihan said. “You could imagine my surprise as the same thing happened with a number of races when I tried to vote for a Republican and the machine registered a vote for a Democrat.”

The conservative website Illinois Review reported that “While using a touch screen voting machine in Schaumburg, Moynihan voted for several races on the ballot, only to find that whenever he voted for a Republican candidate, the machine registered the vote for a Democrat in the same race. He notified the election judge at his polling place and demonstrated that it continued to cast a vote for the opposing candidate’s party. Moynihan was eventually allowed to vote for Republican candidates, including his own race.

Moynihan offered this gracious lesson to his followers on Twitter: “Be careful when you vote in Illinois. Make sure you take the time to check your votes before submitting.”

Isn’t it amazing that when these incidents happen with electronic voting machines, they always benefit the Democrats? In 2010, in Nevada, there were multiple reports of voting machines changing Republican votes into votes for Harry Reid.

This is one of the compelling reasons why every election should have paper ballots. At least there is a hard copy to show what really happened.

While this time, the electronic screen showed the vote being given to the Democrat, a more insidious fraud would be for the screen to show the correct vote but the actually vote tallied in the machine’s memory would be the wrong one.

If anyone thinks that is not possible, think again. A few lines of code is all it takes.

Meanwhile we know something never change. This includes the need for Democrats to steal elections.

The Media Are Much Scarier than Ebola

    Dennis Prager | Oct 21, 2014

Why do some things scare people more than others?

One reason is that people engage in a rational assessment of risk and conclude the appropriate level of fear. For example, people feel free to walk alone at midnight in Times Square but not in Central Park because they have made a rational assessment: Times Square, which at midnight is almost as bright as day and filled with people -- usually tourists -- is safer than Central Park.

A second reason is that emotions rather than reason cause people to fear something. Some years ago I was a guest on the television show "Politically Incorrect," the Bill Maher-hosted predecessor to his current HBO show, "Real Time with Bill Maher." One of the other guests was the late Christopher Hitchens. At one point, he lit up a cigarette. There were some negative reactions, so I looked at the audience, and asked: "If you think the smoke from this cigarette is endangering your health, clap."

    Most of the audience did.

To understand the absurdity of that response, one must understand that the show took place in a studio in which the audience was seated a good 50 feet from the set, and well above it. It is inconceivable that any smoke reached anyone in the audience -- and, of course, it wouldn't matter if any had. The fear that secondhand smoke from one far away cigarette was endangering anyone's health was emotion-based, not reason-based.

Then there is a third reason that explains why people fear certain things more than others: media attention.

It is almost impossible to overstate the power of mass media. If the mass media of a society constantly communicate something -- anything -- most of the society will believe it. Without mass media, none of the totalitarian regimes of the 20th century would have been possible. Totalitarianism is a new phenomenon because mass media is a new phenomenon.

It is likely that the mass media are the primary reason for the current profound fear of Ebola that permeates American society.

How profound? If the passenger seated next to them on an airplane coughs, many Americans wonder if they are at risk of contracting Ebola. According to a Washington Post poll, two thirds of Americans fear an epidemic in the United States, and four in 10 said they are somewhat or very worried that a family member may contract the disease.

This is at a time when the total number of Americans who have contracted Ebola is two -- both of whom had direct contact with an Ebola patient. As Linda Chavez points out in the New York Post, last year, about 30,000 Americans died of the flu, yet most Americans don't get flu shots.

It's all because of the mass media. Ebola dominates the news as much as the terrorist attack at the Boston marathon dominated the media.

Nor is there a right-left divide here. In general, the left has been far more hysteria prone than the right -- heterosexual AIDS in America; the number of girls dying from anorexia; the "rape culture" on American campuses; the likely destruction of life as we know it as a result of fossil fuels -- these are a few the many left-wing-generated hysterias. But there's no left-right divide on Ebola. My wife and I so admire the conservative magazine, The Weekly Standard, that we each have our own subscription. Yet it just featured a piece titled "Six Reasons to Panic."

As for Africa, here's something to consider: According to the World Health Organization, in 2012, 627,000 Africans died of a disease. But it wasn't Ebola. It was malaria. Why no concern about that? Because malaria won't touch anyone in the Western world, and therefore the media never mention it. The obsession with Ebola rather than malaria is First World narcissism.

If Americans seek reasons to panic, at least two things rationally qualify: The Islamic State and all the other Muslim terror groups whose greatest desire is to murder and maim as many Americans as possible; and Iran on the verge of making a nuclear weapon.

It would be a better world if the media were preoccupied with those two issues. But for two weeks, they have only mentioned the former in between reports on Ebola. And they almost never mention the latter.

Of course, it is possible that the mass media may end up right on this issue. But track records matter, and the media's track record is shameful. For half a century, just about every health and social hysteria has been manufactured or abetted by these media, especially television news.

That is why the media are so frightening. There doesn't appear to be anything that they cannot persuade most people, in any country, to believe.

Pity Party Nation: Who Cares If You're Offended?

    John Hawkins | Oct 21, 2014

Since when did, “I’m offended,” become an argument that trumps all facts, logic and common sense? When did regularly claiming to be aggrieved on behalf of some splinter of the population become a high paying gig? How did we get to a point in America where people are PROUD to tell you that they’re “victims?”

There are a lot of reasons things have gone so wrong on this front, but ironically, the biggest is that our nation has had so much success.

Americans are now considerably richer and more educated as a group than Americans were a few generations ago. The Civil Rights struggle was an overwhelming success. Even many poor Americans have access to conveniences and luxuries that the richest and most privileged of us didn’t have 100 years ago. If you look at the whole of human history, anyone living in America today is in the wealthiest, most privileged “1%” of people who have ever lived on Planet Earth.

There’s a reason people say, “Idle hands do the devil’s work,” and it’s the same reason you often find that prominent terrorists and communists come from privileged backgrounds. No matter how well things are going, some people are going to be dissatisfied. When those people are living hand to mouth, they’re too busy scrambling to pay their bills to worry about trivia. But, when they have a roof over their heads, money in their pockets, and free time, they spend their days doing what critics do.

This is not new. Even Machiavelli had people like this in his time,

“And many writers have imagined for themselves republics and principalities that have never been seen or known to exist in reality; for there is such a gap between how one lives and how one ought to live that anyone who abandons what is done for what ought to be done learns his ruin rather than his preservation…..”

The difference between today and the start of the 16th century is that our prosperity has allowed a few puddles full of whiners to grow into an ocean and worse yet, we REWARD them for bellyaching.

In the era of the Internet and reality TV, everyone seems to be chasing Andy Warhol’s “fabled 15 minutes of fame” and one of the easiest ways to get them, especially if you don’t have any talent or don’t want to work for them, is to throw a big public pity party for yourself.

There are people like Cindy Sheehan, Sandra Fluke and to a lesser degree, even Hillary Clinton who managed to turn being professional victims into careers.

Setting that aside, there’s the financial motive. There are people who quite literally make a living by accusing other people of racism, sexism and homophobia. Do you really think people -- who are only going to be able to make their house payments if they keep making accusations of racism -- are going to see anything other than bigotry when there’s money on the line?

Professional race hustlers are bad enough, but the sheer number of amateurs getting in on the game has an even bigger negative impact on society. Every day, we now have millions of people trying to figure out how they can be aggrieved so they can claim their own delicious little slice of victimhood.

As often as not, when you hear their caterwauling about how upset they are, you can’t help but think it’s their way of saying, “Everybody look at us! We’re victims! We’re offended; so you have to pay attention to us!”

There are people offended by American flags, by non-offensive words like “niggardly” that sound similar to offensive words, by Christian business owners who don’t want to bake cakes for gay weddings, by children’s songs that mention pigs and there’s even a family that’s terribly upset about Ben & Jerry’s “Hazed and Confused” ice cream because….well, can you even guess? It’s because their son died in 2008 in a hazing incident and so they’ve decided they don’t like the word “hazed.”</HREF="#4L0KFB0">

That last example cuts to the heart of the problem because you certainly feel for people who lost their son and it’s understandable that they’re against hazing. But, where does sympathy stop and common sense begin? How far is everyone else supposed to go to cater to their irrational complaints? As someone who quite literally gets hate mail every day of the week from people who are deeply offended in almost every way imaginable because I dare to have a different opinion than they do on an issue, I’d say not very far.

That doesn’t mean that we should go out of our way to offend people. For example, even though I’m not a Muslim and think the overreaction to Koran burnings in some parts of the world is insane, I wouldn’t burn a Koran because I want to show a modicum of courtesy to people from another faith. I don’t think the Confederate flag is racist, but I wouldn’t personally fly one because I can legitimately see where many black Americans associate it with slavery. I’ve had polite conversations at conventions with liberals -- whom I would disagree with on every issue -- just because I think it’s good manners. These are the sort of niceties that help hold a society together, but it only goes so far.

When every niche issue that mildly tweaks someone’s sensibilities becomes a life and death, traumatic “either do this or you hate me” battle, the bonds that hold us together as a society begin to disintegrate because to paraphrase Aristotle, the only way to avoid offending people is to “say nothing, do nothing and be nothing.”

It’s made worse by the fact that so many people have started glomming on to these ridiculous issues as a substitute for actually doing something of consequence. “I’m against the Redskins; so I’m pro-Indian!” “The words ‘illegal immigrant’ are offensive; so I’m pro-Hispanic!” “I think that’s racist; so I’m pro-black.”

Bull****! If you’ve helped a black friend move his furniture to a new apartment, you’ve actually done more for black Americans than someone who has spent the last decade screaming “racism, racism, racism” every day.

Claiming to be “offended” on someone else’s behalf rarely accomplishes anything meaningful. In fact, it’s often about as “helpful” as buying a bottle of booze for an alcoholic because life doesn’t give “trigger warnings” and few people worth emulating in life enjoy being the guest of honor at a pity party.

    Children In Church

I've probably said this several times in the past but I feel the need to repeat it once in a while. Children in church – I know parents and family members feel a bit uneasy when the kids act up or make noise or cry and sometimes the parents pick them up and take them out . . . . stop it! YOU need to be in church and a lot of us actually enjoy the kids; they are a gift from God and they are our future. There is nothing that brings a smile to my face faster than a baby or toddler, and they always make me think of a church I attended many many many years ago where the preacher said at one point “don't worry if your children make noise and don't take them out of the sanctuary – I have a microphone and can talk louder than them”.

    I Am Offended – Part 1

I am so offended that bunches of whinny little people are pretty much making ALL of us change who we are and what we do and what we say. And we seem to be so afraid of them that we do it. The bottom line is that no body will go through life never seeing or hearing or experiencing things we don't like of that “offends” us - it is not possible unless we live in a closet and never go out into the “real” world.

Lets take this to the extremes and be offended say by towns or cities that have Kill in their names.

Battenkill (What is a Batten and why do they kill them?), Catskill (Does that mean they like to kill cats?), Fishkill (Why are they killing all the fish?) how about Waterford . . . we use water to Baptize people so the word water should be eliminated; I am also offended that on TV and in Movies men are portrayed as bumbling idiots who act like children – they should always be portrayed as the hard working, family supporting people that they are. I am offended by politicians who have armed body guards who want to take everyone else's guns away.

I am offended by the trash that the entertainment industry puts out, have we no shame or morals anymore? I am offended that these people have slowly but surely changed our culture to accept things that used to be considered dirty / sleezy / immoral etc. It is no wonder that our society is falling apart.

I am offended that the very people who need welfare and food stamps and public housing are all walking around with iphones, ipads and other such devices.

I am offended by people who drink their coffee “black”. - isn't that racist?

As a big person I am offended by people wearing “skinny” jeans.

I am offended that car tires no longer have the “white wall” option. Whats up with that?

I am offended that sports teams show white males in a bad light such as “Buccaneers” and “Raiders”. Shouldn't tall people be offended by “the Giants”.

James Kavanaugh: "I Laugh and Cry with the Same Eyes"

James Kavanaugh: "I Laugh and Cry with the Same Eyes"

I laugh and cry with the same eyes,
Love and hate with the same heart.
I feel my rage and my gentleness,
    My sanity and suicide.
When I hide my anger, my joy doesn't seem real.
When I hide my fear, my strength is a fraud.
If I only laugh, I leave no place for your pain.
If I only shout, I leave no place for your tenderness.
I want to be all of myself,
So you can be all of yourself,
And together we can be whole.

City of Houston demands pastors turn over sermons

     Todd Starnes

By Todd Starnes Published October 14, 2014 FoxNews.com

The city of Houston has issued subpoenas demanding a group of pastors turn over any sermons dealing with homosexuality, gender identity or Annise Parker, the city’s first openly lesbian mayor. And those ministers who fail to comply could be held in contempt of court.

“The city’s subpoena of sermons and other pastoral communications is both needless and unprecedented,” Alliance Defending Freedom attorney Christina Holcomb said in a statement. “The city council and its attorneys are engaging in an inquisition designed to stifle any critique of its actions.”

ADF, a nationally-known law firm specializing in religious liberty cases, is representing five Houston pastors. They filed a motion in Harris County court to stop the subpoenas arguing they are “overbroad, unduly burdensome, harassing, and vexatious.”

“Political and social commentary is not a crime,” Holcomb said. “It is protected by the First Amendment.”

The subpoenas are just the latest twist in an ongoing saga over the Houston’s new non-discrimination ordinance. The law, among other things, would allow men to use the ladies room and vice versa. The city council approved the law in June.

The Houston Chronicle reported opponents of the ordinance launched a petition drive that generated more than 50,000 signatures – far more than the 17,269 needed to put a referendum on the ballot.

However, the city threw out the petition in August over alleged irregularities.

After opponents of the bathroom bill filed a lawsuit the city’s attorneys responded by issuing the subpoenas against the pastors.

The pastors were not part of the lawsuit. However, they were part of a coalition of some 400 Houston-area churches that opposed the ordinance. The churches represent a number of faith groups – from Southern Baptist to non-denominational.

“City council members are supposed to be public servants, not ‘Big Brother’ overlords who will tolerate no dissent or challenge,” said ADF attorney Erik Stanley. “This is designed to intimidate pastors.”

Mayor Parker will not explain why she wants to inspect the sermons. I contacted City Hall for a comment and received a terse reply from the mayor’s director of communications.

“We don’t comment on litigation,” said Janice Evans.

However, ADF attorney Stanley suspects the mayor wants to publicly shame the ministers. He said he anticipates they will hold up their sermons for public scrutiny. In other words – the city is rummaging for evidence to “out” the pastors as anti-gay bigots.

Among those slapped with a subpoena is Steve Riggle, the senior pastor of Grace Community Church. He was ordered to produce all speeches and sermons related to Mayor Annise Parker, homosexuality and gender identity.

The mega-church pastor was also ordered to hand over “all communications with members of your congregation” regarding the non-discrimination law.

“This is an attempt to chill pastors from speaking to the cultural issues of the day,” Riggle told me. “The mayor would like to silence our voice. She’s a bully.”

David Welch, director of the Houston Area Pastor Council, also received a subpoena. He said he will not be intimidated by the mayor.

“We’re not afraid of this bully,” he said. “We’re not intimidated at all.”

He accused the city of violating the law with the subpoenas and vowed to stand firm in the faith.

“We are not going to yield our First Amendment rights,” Welch told me. ‘This is absolutely a complete abuse of authority.”

Tony Perkins, the head of the Family Research Council, said pastors around the nation should rally around the Houston ministers.

“The state is breaching the wall of separation between church and state,” Perkins told me. ‘Pastors need to step forward and challenge this across the country. I’d like to see literally thousands of pastors after they read this story begin to challenge government authorities – to dare them to come into their churches and demand their sermons.”

Perkins called the actions by Houston’s mayor “obscene” and said they “should not be tolerated.”

“This is a shot across the bow of the church,” he said.

This is the moment I wrote about in my book, “God Less America.” I predicted that the government would one day try to silence American pastors. I warned that under the guise of “tolerance and diversity” elected officials would attempt to deconstruct religious liberty.

Sadly, that day arrived sooner than even I expected.

Tony Perkins is absolutely right. Now is the time for pastors and people of faith to take a stand. We must rise up and reject this despicable strong-arm attack on religious liberty. We cannot allow ministers to be intimidated by government thugs.

The pastors I spoke to tell me they will not comply with the subpoena – putting them at risk for a “fine or confinement, or both.”

Heaven forbid that should happen. But if it does, Christians across America should be willing to descend en masse upon Houston and join these brave men of God behind bars.

Pastor Welch compared the culture war skirmish to the 1836 Battle of San Jacinto, fought in present-day Harris County, Texas. It was a decisive battle of the Texas Revolution.

“This is the San Jacinto moment for traditional family,” Welch told me. “This is the place where we stop the LGBT assault on the freedom to practice our faith.”

We can no longer remain silent. We must stand together - because one day – the government might come for your pastor.

    Ten Tips For The Day

    1. I'm not saying let's go kill all the stupid people. I'm just saying let's
remove all the warning labels and let the problem work itself out.
    2. I changed my car horn to gunshot sounds. People move out of the

    Why I Oppose Liberalism

    From Townhall.com

    John Hawkins Oct 11, 2014

Liberalism is an ideology of parasites, hypocrites, grievance mongers, victims, and control freaks. Like a tick, liberalism latches onto a victim and sucks him dry. Of course, a single tick can’t gorge itself on so much blood that it does to a dog what liberalism did to Detroit. It doesn’t turn the different parts of the dog against each other. The tick doesn’t tell everyone he’s a victim and that the dog is greedy if he tries to scratch it off.

You can’t be both a good Christian and a good liberal because they’re incompatible and liberalism makes no exceptions for religious beliefs. It demands to be placed first in a person’s life, even above God; a liberal who stands up for his Christian beliefs or who merely asks that Christians not be demeaned will be ostracized for it by other liberals. Churches that adopt liberal beliefs inevitably become such pale imitations of the truth that missionaries should be sent in to convert them to Christianity.

Liberalism is an ideology of tribalism and hatred. It works incessantly to undermine anything that truly brings America together -- like Christianity, the culture and love of country -- so it can try to rebind people together as liberal drones. Relatively minor differences of opinion between liberals and those who disagree with them are habitually elevated to encourage hated.

For example, there’s no logical, rational reason that…

…If you oppose illegal immigration, you must hate Hispanics.

….If you oppose Affirmative Action, you must hate blacks.

….If you oppose free birth control, you must hate women.

….If you’re concerned about radical Islam, you must hate all Muslims.

….If you oppose gay marriage, you must hate gays.

Yet, liberalism promotes those lies incessantly to keep people at each other’s throats. Liberals have to convince their supporters that they’re hated for who they are to keep them from asking uncomfortable questions about why liberalism fails and conservatism works. As long as you’re brainwashed into believing that you’re universally hated by everyone except liberals for something you can’t control, you have nowhere else to turn.

Turning people against each other, lying about your opponents and adopting an ends justifies the means mentality are all interwoven into liberalism. Most liberals aren’t evil, but liberalism is a darkness of the soul and the more fully a person adopts it, the more of an awful human being he becomes.

Liberalism encourages a habitual hatred of people who aren’t liberal. It exaggerates grievances, elevates victimhood, excuses laziness and immoral behavior, undermines success and it pours acid on the pillars that hold up our entire society. To paraphrase Thomas Sowell,

Civilization has been aptly called a ‘thin crust over a volcano’. (Liberalism is) constantly picking at that crust.

Liberalism seems to begin with the assumption that there’s an infinite amount of money, goodness, cultural resiliency and goodwill -- and that nothing people do can have a negative impact on it. We’ll have plenty of money no matter how much liberals spend. People will be good no matter how much evil liberalism condones. Our culture will remain strong no matter how much liberals denigrate it and discourage people from embracing it. There will be no long term consequences of pushing division and hatred, no matter how often liberals do it.

If only they were right about that or if their policies worked. Want to know the consummate liberal policy? It’s Obamacare. It was passed with all Democrat votes and sold to the public almost entirely with lies. Almost every problem with the law was predicted by the law’s opponents beforehand and was vigorously denied by liberals. The law hasn’t worked as intended, it has had disastrous consequences and is extremely unpopular. Yet, liberals STILL support it wholeheartedly and blame the people who begged them not to pass the law for the difficulties it has.

As Talleyrand would say, “They have learned nothing and forgotten nothing.”

That would be tolerable if liberalism confined its hatred, wickedness, stupidity and incompetence to liberal enclaves, but on top of all its other faults, liberalism is an ideology for control freaks. It’s not enough for liberals to bankrupt California and destroy Detroit; they have to centralize their policies to force the people who know better to suffer for their sins. After all, if people are given a choice, they may not choose liberalism and worse yet, they may prove to be bad examples by prospering BECAUSE they didn’t choose liberalism and that can’t be allowed.

However, the most unforgivable thing about liberalism is the sickening way it deceives people to destroy human potential. Liberalism comes in the guise of a friend offering “help” to desperate people. It’s the same sort of “help” a fisherman gives his catch; it just comes with a different sort of hook through the mouth. Liberals get people hooked on welfare and food stamps instead of teaching them to take care of themselves. They encourage people to think of themselves as helpless victims who can’t deal with the world without liberal help. Instead of helping the weak to become strong, they encourage them to be ever more sensitive and to look for new reasons to be offended. There are whole communities of people who’ve been voting for liberal policies for decades with nothing to show for it except poverty, crime, and decay. There are people on welfare today who would have had happy, productive lives if they had been pushed to take care of themselves. There are people who’ve been so convinced by liberalism that the deck is stacked against them that they’ve never tried to get their piece of the American dream. It’s wrong to do that to people. It’s sickening. It’s immoral.

Liberalism empties treasuries, blackens souls, and decimates everything it touches over the long haul. One day, unless the American people wise up to the damage liberalism is causing, it will eventually ruin this nation beyond repair.

    If I Fail

Just read this in a daily E-Mail that I receive and thought I SHOULD share it.

    If I Fail...
    (By John MacArthur)
If I fail to teach my son to fear [reverence] God,
the devil will teach him to hate God.
If I fail to teach my son to guard his mind,
the devil will teach him to have an open mind.
If I fail to teach my son to obey his parents,
the devil will teach him to rebel and break his parents' hearts.
If I fail to teach my son to select his companions carefully,
the devil will choose them for him.
If I fail to teach my son to control his body,
the devil will gladly teach him to give it completely over to his lusts.
If I fail to teach my children to enjoy speech that is honorable to God,
the devil will fill their mouths with filth.
If I fail to teach my children to pursue their work,
the devil will make them lazy
If I fail to teach them to manage their money,
the devil will teach them to waste if on riotous living.
If I fail to teach them to love their neighbor,
the devil will gladly teach them to love only themselves!

    From “The Upper Room”

One time, when I was a child, I was not picked last for a team; I wasn’t picked at all. The team captain who was supposed to choose the last remaining player declined to choose me. It hurt. Really hurt. But Cheryl, a girl on the other team, said, “Come on, Jennifer. You can be on our team.”

Twenty years later, I walked into a restaurant, and there was Cheryl. Throughout the years I had thought of her and what she did for me that day. She included me. She said that I was good enough. When I saw her, I was so choked up with emotion that I could barely speak. I thanked her for being nice to me when we were in school. Even though she remembered my face, she didn’t remember my name or that day on the playground. That was okay. I did remember, and her compassion still meant a lot to me.

Ecclesiastes suggests that compassion may be returned to us. Even small acts of kindness can make a big difference in someone else’s life. Our compassion is the bread we send out, and maybe one day those who enjoyed that bread long ago will be able to come back and tell us that what we did made a difference.

    Racists! ! !

Those that holler racist the loudest and find racism in every aspect of life – they are the real racists as they look for the black vs white in everything, they don’t just see people they see color.

Poem by James Cavanaugh – I Played God Today

    “I played God today
    And it was fun!
I made animals that men had never seen
So they would stop and scratch their heads
    Instead of scowling.
I made words that men had never heard
So they would stop and stare at me
    Instead of running.
And I made love that laughed
So men would giggle like children
    Instead of sighing.
Tomorrow, perhaps, I won't be God
    And you will know it
Because you won't see any three-headed cats
    Or bushes with bells on...
I wish I could always play God
So that lonely men could laugh!”

Source: Clinton Directly Involved In Terrorist Group “Security Force” At Benghazi

    Lawrence Meyers | Sep 29, 2014

Gross incompetence at the State Department, likely stemming from decisions by Hillary Clinton, is a primary reason why Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans were killed in the Benghazi terrorist attack.

A source who has asked to remain anonymous due to their proximity to the investigation, said that much of the blame for the murders rests squarely within the State Department, then under the command of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

The State Department had final decision-making authority over all of the following:

    · The selection of the 17 February Martyrs Brigade, affiliates of terrorist organization Ansar al-Sharia, as security for the U.S. Special Mission Compound, which housed the Ambassador;

    · The refusal to provide U.S. Special Forces as security for the Ambassador;

    · The location of the compound, which was located next door to an outpost of terrorist organization Ansar Al-Sharia; The “stand down” order that delayed military contractors at a nearby CIA Annex from aiding the compound.

    Terrorists as Security Guards

The 17 February Martyr’s Brigade, or 17 Feb, was the largest and most well-known militia group in Libya at the time of the attack. Its moniker refers to an incident on that date in 2006, when Libyan security forces killed a group of people outside the Italian consulate in Benghazi.

The militia was born during the war against Qaddafi, taking advantage of the security vacuum to collect weapons and recruit personnel. After the September 11 attack on the compound, members merged into Ansar al-Sharia, a coalition terror organization whose name means “Partisans of Sharia Law.”

However, there appears to be no explanation for why the State Department chose a known Jihadist group to protect Americans in a war-torn Islamic nation.

At a hearing of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee in May of 2013, Rep. Blake Farenthold (R – TX) told Eric Nordstrom, the State Dept.’s Regional Security Officer in Tripoli at the time, “I’m stunned that the State Department was relying on a militia with extremist ties to protect American diplomats. That doesn’t make any sense. How does that happen?”

Nordstrom went on to list a host of cases in which local militias, in Islamic countries, had betrayed and murdered their American employers, implying that such poor tactical decision-making was not an unusual occurrence at State.

Despite all this, 17 Feb was chosen to handle security for the Ambassador. Who made the ultimate determination? A source close to the investigation says Hillary Clinton made that decision.

“She could have outsourced that work to anyone,” the source says. “17 Feb was never properly vetted. Even a casual look at Middle East newspapers would have revealed them to be Ansar al-Sharia affiliates. As early as that summer, the Libyan government was conducting air strikes on 17 Feb. Obviously, nobody at State read these reports.”

The source went on to say, “The 17 Feb guys that resided on the compound were paid by us, were fed by us, we gave them cars, they swam in our pool, and they repaid us by participating in the attack.”

“We did not trust 17 Feb”

Kris “Tanto” Paronto, one of several military contractors housed in a nearby CIA Annex who attempted to rescue Ambassador Stevens, says “We did not trust 17 Feb. They were a former terrorist organization and we believed the group had been infiltrated by Islamic Radicals. Even beyond this, though, there is a bigger issue.”

“We normally train directly with local militias in other countries, which is a tactically sound decision. It is critical that a rapport be established with 17 Feb for them to be used as a Quick Reaction Force. While our Chief of Base had spoken to them numerous times, the GRS staff itself – the people supporting the agency at the Annex -- never spoke to, worked with, or trained with any 17 Feb commanders or members.”

Tanto reports that the Blue Mountain Group, a group of unarmed Libyan security guards outside the compound gate, either abandoned their posts as the attack began, and may have even opened the gates for the terrorists to enter. There was no “break-in” as has been falsely reported.

    Indefensible Compound

Tanto further says thathe had been in charge of high-level ambassador protection in Iraq on previous occasions. Thus, when he saw the compound, he knew something was “extremely abnormal.” The eight-acre compound was too vast to be effectively fortified and defended.

“I chalked it up to the State Department being idiots, because they never did anything that made sense security-wise,” he said, reiterating his statements from the recently released best-seller, “13 Hours: The Inside Account of What Really Happened in Benghazi.”

The sheer indefensible size of the compound was but one mistake. A second fatal error was committed by State Department Undersecretary Patrick Kennedy, who refused to provide U.S. Special Forces security, according to a Wall Street Journal editorial by Gregory Hicks, the former Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy in Tripoli.

A third fatal mistake was the selection of compound’s location. Three weeks after the compound was rented, an outpost of the terrorist organization Ansar al-Sharia moved in next door. The compound’s location was not changed, nor was additional security or rooftop firepower provided, despite requests. It seems unfathomable that the compound was not relocated with terrorists living right next door.

Who Gave Bob the “Stand-Down” Order?

There is no question that a “stand down” order was delivered to Tanto and the operators directly, by their Chief of Base, the CIA official known only as “Bob.” The operators have corroborated that the order was given to them while Bob was on the phone.

Until now, however, exactly to whom Bob was speaking to has been a mystery.

Our source reports that Bob was seeking assistance from none other than the 17 February Martyr’s Brigade – the very group participating in the attack.

“Bob was literally on the phone, calling for help from the guys who were in the midst of attacking our people,” our source says. “Interdepartmental communication was so poor that he didn’t know that he was essentially calling al-Qaeda to save our people from al-Qaeda.”

Additionally unreported until now, was that Bob made a second call while Tanto and his team were in their SUVs, ready to roll to the Ambassador’s rescue.

According to the source close to the investigation, “If the chain of command was followed, and there is no reason to believe it wasn’t, Bob was on the phone with the Chief of Station in Tripoli, who in turn would have been in direct contact with the Seventh Floor at State.”
The “Seventh Floor” is where the highest-ranking State Department officials, including Hillary Clinton, are located.

    Why?

Additional military support wasn’t just lacking during the battle, but well after it ended. After evacuating everyone from the compound and CIA Annex to the Benghazi airport, hours after repeated calls for help had been made, no U.S. plane ever came for them.

All that time passed, four men were dead in a terrorist attack, yet not a single US asset showed up.

It was if everyone involved literally did not exist.

I offered the only two logical explanations for this lack of support, both of which Tanto agreed with. Either there was gross incompetence at multiple levels, across multiple assets in multiple regions, including Washington, all occurring at that exact time when help was needed most…

…or that calls for assistance were received, but deliberately ignored.

The former theory is implausible, but not impossible. The latter theory is both plausible and likely.

More than one report suggests that Stevens was in Libya to buy back surface-to-air missiles sold to al-Qaeda groups in Libya, to fight against Qaddafi, and/or Syria to fight against Assad. If so, it raises the question of whether military support could be sent for a mission that Administration or Congressional officials would prefer to deny the existence of. </HREF="#.UGXZZQ6QSED%20&NBSP;">

After all, who wants to tell the American people about missiles being sold to any Islamic terrorists, regardless of who they are allegedly fighting against?

    Cover-Up

This theory would explain the cover-up emanating from Washington.

It, along with the pre-election embarrassment of a terror attack, would explain the Administration’s adherence to the ludicrous “offensive video” explanation for days after the attack.

It would explain why the operators have not been interviewed or invited to testify before the Accountability Review Board. The ARB report is Washington politics at its worst – a document filled with bureaucratic nonsense about “recommendations” and references to the operators only facing “a few skirmishes” when returning from the compound to the Annex when, according to our source, “more than eighty terrorists were killed in lengthy firefights.”

It should come as no surprise that Hillary Clinton appointed four of the five people to the ARB.

It would also explain why Hillary Clinton thinks there is no difference between a terrorist attack and a spontaneous demonstration.

    The Heroism

Amidst all these new revelations, it is easy to forget the distinction between the Ambassador’s compound and the nearby CIA Annex. This is critical, as it highlights the heroism of Tanto and his comrades.

These brave individuals were hired strictly as security for the case officers at the CIA Annex, not for the Ambassador’s compound. It was only during a routine meeting that Tanto told the compound’s occupants, “if you are in trouble, give us a call and we’ll come get you.”

Civilians intellectually understand that military service is about sacrifice, dedication, honor, and bravery. To men like Tanto, however, those words have a primal, visceral meaning. There was no legal or operational requirement for the operators to risk their lives.

Each man did so for one reason: they gave their word.

That was one reason the delay was so agonizing. The other reason was that nobody else was coming to help the Ambassador and his group, and the operators knew it. They were completely alone. The compound’s house had been set on fire. There was no air support. There was no cavalry.

    Coming Forward

Despite the heroic acts of Tanto and his comrades, the U.S. Government and the mainstream media have tried to bury everything having to do with their story. The disrespect shown to them by their former employer, and suppression of the truth, is what motivated the men to come forward.

Tanto said, “We watched on TV, as the news media distorted the facts. The story was being politicized, instead of it being about what was important: the sacrifices of Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty. At one point, I heard on NPR how we were figments of the right wing’s imagination!”

Besides never being asked to testify at any hearings, the men were also denied reimbursement for their losses in Libya…right down to their socks, undershirts, and underwear.

The last straw came when, immediately following the memorial service for their fallen comrades, they were asked to sign non-disclosure agreements.

“We couldn’t stay silent after that. We resigned immediately,” Tanto said. “This has never been about politics. It’s about people hearing the truth, wherever it leads.”

    Haunted

As for whether a flood of emotion hit Tanto after the incident, he says it still hasn’t come out. “I’m holding on to it. It’s all still there. I need it to strengthen my resolve for all the naysayers who claim this didn’t happen.”

That’s why the support the team has received on social media means more to them than words can express.

“Please tell everyone how much it means to us to know when Americans have our back, so we don’t have to fight anymore. Any veteran just wants respect for what he did. It is so powerful to see some naysayer on Twitter say something and have a hundred replies bury him. “
“It helps keep the demons at bay.”
