Most Tea Party activists have very little use for House Speaker John Boehner.  At Tea Party Nation, we have castigated him early and often.  Yet is it now possible that John Boehner may emerge as the most unlikely Republican who will draw a line in the sand and then stand by it?

From Politico:

House Republicans will vote to pass a one-year delay of Obamacare in exchange for funding the government, a plan that drastically increases the chances of a government shutdown this Tuesday.

The decision was announced by the GOP leadership in a closed meeting Saturday afternoon, according to sources present. Republicans will also pass a bill to fund U.S. troops if the government shuts down, according to GOP lawmakers. The House’s funding measure will keep the government open until mid December.

This puts Senate Democrats and the White House at loggerheads with House Republicans, a standoff that could lead to the first government shutdown since 1995.

Senate Democrats passed a bill to fund the government until Nov. 15, but kept intact Obamacare.

“We’ve had enough of the disunity in our party,” Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) told the meeting of House Republicans Saturday afternoon. “The headlines are Republicans fighting Republicans. This will unite us. This protects the people who sent us here from Obamacare.”

House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said it would be the “fastest whip check in history,” as every member raised their hand, saying they would support the bill.

It is time the Republicans stood up and fought!

Obamacare (or as it now should be called, McConnellcare) will never be repealed while the Party of Treason holds the White House.  But a one year delay is a victory.

Sometimes we need incremental victory and if the GOP will stand and fight, that is a change for the better!

Terry McAuliffe wants terrorist attacks in Virginia

With about forty days left before the election in Virginia for governor, everyone not only in Virginia but in America should know that Terry McAuliffe wants terrorist attacks in Virginia.

That is a strong statement but the truth is the truth.

Why does Terry McAuliffe want terrorist attacks in Virginia?

Recently Terry McAuliffe pledged “Colorado style” gun control if he is elected governor of Virginia.  Virginia is one of the most Second Amendment friendly states in the nation.  It is an “open carry” state where gun owners may lawfully openly carry their firearms.

But in Terry McAuliffe’s warped world, real Americans who own guns are the problem.  Terry McAuliffe is a multimillionaire, thanks to his political dealings.  He has more than enough money to hire men with guns to protect him or his family.  If he becomes governor, he will have armed guards for four years.

What about real Americans?  Well as far as McAuliffe is concerned, they can go pound sand.

Americans should be concerned about McAuliffe and the far left as they try to destroy Americans’ right to self-defense.

If you follow news from sites other than the liberal mainstream media, you are probably aware of what happened to the hostages at the Westgate Mall in Nairobi, Kenya.  If you aren’t, the Islamist terrorists who took over that mall singled out non-Muslims and sadistically tortured many of them.  The lucky ones were killed immediately.  The story is here.  (Warning, the story is very graphic)

This is coming to America.

It is not a question if, it is a question of when.

Investigators looking at the Westlake Mall are saying that attack was meticulously planned.  So was 9/11.  The FBI has done a good job of getting some local wannabe terrorists but honestly that is low hanging fruit.   Those guys are simply the amateur hour.

Some day, terrorists are going to meticulously plan a terrorist attack against an American mall and with the help of Terry McAuliffe and the left they will succeed.

Right now, in most states, terrorists would not have the success they had in Kenya.  Kenya is the left’s dream.  Kenya has draconian gun control that makes it all but impossible for a private citizen to own, much less carry their own weapon.

Right now, if terrorists tried a mall attack in Virginia or Texas or other parts of real America, they would find themselves quickly outnumbered and out gunned by American citizens.

But if Terry McAuliffe has his way, Americans will be just as defenseless as the poor people in the mall in Kenya were.

America cannot afford liberals like Terry McAuliffe who will destroy our rights.  Out of state money has been pouring in to Virginia to support McAuliffe.  Ken Cuccinelli needs your support.  His website is here.

This fight will not end in Virginia.  We must send a message.  In 2014, far left wing gun grabber Colorado governor John Hickenlooper will be up for reelection.  Colorado citizens recalled two Colorado state senators most responsible for the state’s new, draconian gun control laws.  But they will need to take the state house in 2014 to be able to restore gun rights to Colorado’s citizens.  Former Congressman Tom Tancredo is running for governor and he will need your help.

Perhaps one day someone can explain to me the liberal obsession with making everyone defenseless.  In the mean time, we don’t have time to understand their insanity.

This year and next, we must defeat them.

Failure is not an option here.

Because if we fail, we will see the horrors of another terrorist attack here in America.

Did you know that since President Obama came into office, the debt limit has been raised seven times?

With those increases, Congress has added $43,000 in debt for every American household in just the last four years.

And now the debt limit deadline is looming again. Treasury will run out of tricks to keep paying the bills on October 17, Secretary Jack Lew announced yesterday.

Instead of pursuing significant spending cuts and entitlement reforms that are desperately needed to get spending under control, House Republicans reportedly are proposing to suspend the debt ceiling for more than a year, which would add $1.1 trillion to the debt.

So, take that $43,000 per household that was added in the last four years and tack on another $8,800 per household.

Long ago, Ted Cruz earned the hatred of every elected Democrat in Washington. Now, he’s on his way to doing the same with nearly every Republican. Soon, it will be almost a clean sweep.

He is, to paraphrase Winston Churchill’s quip about Secretary of State John Foster Dulles, a bull who carries a china shop with him. He had barely begun his 21-hour filibuster — or, to be strictly precise, 21-hour-long speech — when he compared his doubters to appeasers of Hitler and he ended it roughly a day later with a prickly exchange with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

The Cruz eye-rollers had plenty of occasions to roll their eyes — perhaps no senator has caused so many colleagues to mutter under their breaths in his first eight months in the world’s greatest deliberative body — but the conservative grass roots stood up and cheered. They are desperate for gumption and imagination and, above all, fight, and Cruz delivered all three during his long, bleary-eyed hours holding forth on C-SPAN2.

Samuel L. Jackson to Obama: Stop Dropping Your G’s, “Be F***ing Presidential”

President Obama has made a habit of deliberately dropping his G’s when talking to “ordinary Americans,” and it’s getting on Samuel L. Jackson’s nerves. In an interview with Playboy Magazine, Jackson criticized our Harvard-educated president for ‘trying to relate.’

“First of all, we know it ain’t because of his blackness, so I say stop trying to ‘relate.’ Be a leader. Be f**king presidential,” he said. “Look, I grew up in a society where I could say ‘It ain’t’ or ‘What it be’ to my friends. But when I’m out presenting myself to the world as me, who graduated from college, who had family [that] cared about me, who has a well-read background, I f**king conjugate.”

Jackson, who is known on Twitter as the ‘grammar police,’ says someone needs to be. “I mean, we have newscasters who don’t even know how to conjugate verbs, something Walter Cronkite and Edward R. Murrow never had problems with. How the f**k did we become a society where mediocrity is acceptable?”

In fairness, however, Obama isn’t the first or only politician guilty of “G-dropping” when speaking to the "average Joe." Over to you, Peggy Noonan (emphasis mine):

There is now something infantilizing about this election. […] More than ever on the campaign trail, the candidates are dropping their G's. Hardworkin' families are strainin' and tryin'a get ahead. It's not only Sarah Palin but Mr. McCain, too, occasionally Mr. Obama, and, of course, George W. Bush when he darts out like the bird in a cuckoo clock to tell us we are in crisis. All of the candidates say "mom and dad": "our moms and dads who are struggling." This is Mr. Bush's former communications adviser Karen Hughes's contribution to our democratic life, that you cannot speak like an adult in politics now, that's too austere and detached, snobby. No one can say mothers and fathers, it's all now the faux down-home, patronizing—and infantilizing—moms and dads. Do politicians ever remember that in a nation obsessed with politics, our children—sorry, our kids—look to political figures for a model as to how adults sound?

Speaking proper English is far less important that scoring political points, it seems.

Obama Lied, My Health Plan Died

Like an estimated 22 million other Americans, I am a self-employed small-business owner who buys health insurance for my family directly on the individual market. We have a high-deductible PPO plan that allows us to choose from a wide range of doctors.

Or rather, we had such a plan.

Last week, our family received notice from Anthem BlueCross BlueShield of Colorado that we can no longer keep the plan we like because of "changes from health care reform (also called the Affordable Care Act or ACA)." The letter informed us that "(t)o meet the requirements of the new laws, your current plan can no longer be continued beyond your 2014 renewal date."

In short: Obama lied. My health plan died.

Remember? Our president looked America straight in the eye and promised: "If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away. No matter what."

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., also lied when she pledged: "Keep your doctor, and your current plan, if you like them."

This isn't just partisan business. It's personal. Our cancellation letter states that Anthem is "not going to be selling new individual PPO plans." When we asked whether we could keep our children's doctors, an agent for Anthem told my husband and me she didn't know. The insurer has no details available yet on what exactly they'll be offering. We either will be herded into the Obamacare federal health insurance exchange regime (launching October 1), a severely limited HMO plan, or presented with costlier alternatives from another insurer. If they even exist.

My family is not alone. Across the country, insurers are sending out Obamacare-induced health plan death notices to untold tens of thousands of other customers in the individual market. Twitter users are posting their Obamacare cancellation notices and accompanying rate increases:

Linda Deright posted her letter from Regency of Washington state: "63 percent jump, old policy of 15 yrs. cancelled." Karen J. Dugan wrote: "Received same notice from Blue Shield CA for our small business. Driving into exchange and no info since online site is down." Chris Birk wrote: "Got notice from BCBS that my current health plan is not ACA compliant. New plan 2x as costly for worse coverage." Small-business owner Villi Wilson posted his letter from HMSA Blue Cross Blue Shield canceling his individual plan and added: "I thought Obama said if I like my health care plan I can keep my health care plan."

Few among Washington's protected political class are paying attention, because they enjoy their lucrative government benefits and are exempted from Obamacare's destructive consequences. But one of my state's congressional representatives, GOP Rep. Cory Gardner, also lost his individual market plan. Unlike most politicians on Capitol Hill, Gardner chose not to enroll in the federal health insurance program. He told me that he opted to participate in the private market "because I wanted to be in the same boat as my constituents. And now that boat is sinking!"

Gardner points to recent analysis showing individual market rate increases of 23 percent to 25 percent in Colorado. "After my current plan is discontinued," he wrote last week, "the closest comparable plan through our current provider will cost over 100 percent more, going from roughly $650 a month to $1,480 per month." He now carries his Obamacare cancellation notice with him as hardcore proof of the Democrats' ultimate deception.

Maryland announced that its post-Obamacare individual market rates could also rise by a whopping 25 percent. The National Association for the Self-Employed is recommending that its small-business owners and freelancers plan for at least a 15 percent increase nationwide. One of the reasons for those rate hikes, of course, is that Obamacare's mandated benefits provisions force insurers to carry coverage for items that individual market consumers had deliberately chosen to forgo.

Americans who had opted for affordable catastrophic coverage-style plans now have fewer and fewer choices. This includes a whole class of musicians, photographers, artists, writers, actors and other creative people who purchased health plans through the individual market or through small professional organizations. As St. Vincent College arts professor Ben Schachter reports in the Weekly Standard, groups like the College Art Association, Modern Language Association and the Entertainment Industry Group Insurance Trust are dropping their plans. Young, healthy members of these groups "are far more likely to see their rates go up -- or to face the individual mandate penalties."

Thanks to Obama, access is down. Premiums and health care spending are up. Research and development on lifesaving drugs and medical devices are down. Hours and benefits have been cut because of Obamacare costs and regulatory burdens by at least 300 American companies, according to Investor's Business Daily. And the Obamacare layoff bomb continues to claim victims.

Obamacare is destroying the private individual market for health insurance by design, not accident. For hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of self-employed job creators, three fundamental Obamacare truths are becoming as clear as Obama's growing nose: 1) You can't keep it. 2) We're screwed. 3) The do-gooders don't care.

The Hypocrisy Of Congress's Gold-Plated Health Care

The Wall Street Journal:

As close observers of history and human nature, James Madison and the other Founders of the U.S. Constitution knew that the equal and unbiased application of the law to all people, especially elected officials, is essential to freedom and justice and one of the primary safeguards from authoritarianism and oppression by a ruling class.

And so, referring to the members of Congress, James Madison wrote in Federalist No. 57: "[T]hey can make no law which will not have its full operation on themselves and their friends, as well as on the great mass of the society."

Today, elected officials need to be reminded of these truths. Under pressure from Congress, the White House has carved out a special exemption for Congress and its staffers from ObamaCare—the law it recently deemed necessary for the entire country. No Republicans voted for ObamaCare. Yet it appears that some of them support the exemption President Obama approved on his own—so they would not have to go on record with a vote for or against it.

I did not pay my taxes or vote Republican for America to become Al-Qaeda’s military.

It is not too often that a blog, or even a major political idea can be summed up in one sentence but this one can.

I did not pay my taxes, support and vote for Republicans so that America would become the military arm of Al-Qaeda.

What on earth are the Republicans thinking?

Well first, John McCain isn’t.  During the Senate hearings, he proved what a total joke he and the Senate are.  He was playing online poker.  When criticized about it, he took to his twitter feed and made a joke of it saying, the worst part about it was that he lost.

No, the worst part about this is that you are committing America’s military to be Al-Qaeda’s military.

While John McCain was playing video poker, because that was clearly more interesting that what was going on when deciding whether or not our nation would ally itself with the same people that gave us 9/11, Secretary of State and American traitor John Kerry was saying we had no way of knowing if American boots would end up on the ground in Syria.

This is the incompetent leading the greatest nation in the world!

Where are the conservatives?  Where are the Republicans?

There are some conservatives who are out there on this issue.  Justin Amash and Rand Paul are two who have been there.

Where is the Republican leadership?

They are too busy kissing Obama’s O.

House Speaker John Boehner proved again he is the most worthless politician ever to crawl out of the Potomac River as he quickly went along with Obama.  Eric Cantor quickly proved himself to be pretty much less than worthless as he jumped on board as well.

Of the House Leadership, only Kevin McCarthy, the House Whip, is not on board, “yet.”  In an interview with a California television station, McCarthy said, “I’m not there, yet.”

The only question is how long before he borrows John Boehner’s freshly laundered white flag of surrender and is “there.”

Syria may become a political earthquake in America and it should.

There are few things that liberals and conservatives agree about in America.  But most liberals and most conservatives agree, America has no business attacking Syria.  We may not agree on the reasons but we agree on the outcome.   It is time for liberal groups and conservative groups to come together to pressure Congress that there be no war in Syria.

As for the Republicans, what is the point of even bothering to support the Republican Party anymore?

The Republican Party always likes to tell us conservatives, “oh, you have to vote for us or the Democrats will take over.”

It looks to me like the Democrats have taken over and the Republicans are doing nothing.

The GOP leadership has sold out on every major issue.  They have sold us out on spending; defunding Obamacare, the debt ceiling, taxes and now they are selling us out on Syria.

The GOP has never stood up for the Tea Party since the Tea Party swept them back into power in 2010.

If the GOP sells us out on Syria, which they are in the process of doing; that will be the final straw. 

I live in Eric Cantor’s district.  If he has primary opposition, I will support that opponent and if he is nominated for reelection, I will not vote for him.  Even if that means a Democrat takes that seat, I will not vote for him.

As for the Republican Party, to paraphrase the immortal words of Darth Vader, “You have sold me out for the last time.”

2014 could have been a great year for the Republican Party.  It could have fought back and taken the Senate away from the Democrats.  The Republican leadership has screwed the base over for the final time and it is time the base shows the GOP who is boss.

In an appearance on Sean Hannity’s radio show Friday, hosted by fill-in host Texas Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert, the head of the union representing the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents called on Congress to investigate the administration’s immigration policies.

“With regard to our government in general, I mean right now, that’s our problem with our immigration system,” National ICE Council President Chris Crane said. “[The problem] is not our immigration system, it’s our government, and it’s the ability of a president of the United States to ignore the laws enacted by Congress.”

“And it doesn’t matter what type of legislation we pass, until we address that problem, we will never have an immigration system that works,” he added. “As long as one person can act like a dictator and ignore the law and make his own laws through policy, we will never have a system that works.”
