If you live in Nashville, AKA Music City, as I do, any thing that affects the music industry is big news.  The Feds have made a big splash recently in the music business.  But, is politics behind this?

On August 24^th, Federal Agents raided the Gibson Guitar facilities in both Nashville and Memphis. Gibson makes guitars and I am told very good ones.  Since my musical efforts generally violate someone’s Eighth Amendment rights against cruel and unusual punishments, I simply take the word of musician friends that Gibson is a very good guitar.

This was the second raid in two years on Gibson.  The issue is a violation of an obscure law called the Lacey Act.  The Lacey act which dates from the 1900’s requires a person to declare every flora or fauna being brought into the country and you must fill out the paperwork correctly.  This is one of the few applications of law that has what is called “strict liability.”  In most instances, if you are accused of violating the law, there is a “Mens Rea” element.  In plain, non-lawyer, English, that means you had to have a mental intent.  If you think of premeditation in murder you are in the ballpark.  With crimes that require a “Mens Rea” element, there are all kinds of defenses.  In a strict liability crime such as this one, either the paper work is right or not.  If it is wrong, you are on the hook, even if it was an innocent mistake.

The most recent raid seems to have been triggered by an alleged violation of an obscure Indian law about the exporting of non-finished wood.  Gibson imported some of its wood from India and uses American workers to finish the wood.  Yet the Obama regime’s interpretation of the export of unfinished wood as a violation of the laws of India seems to be the basis for this raid.

Interestingly enough, Martin Guitars (C.F. Martin & Company) uses some of the same wood that Gibson uses.  How many times has Martin been raided?  Zero.

That may be interesting but there are other facts that build a more interesting and sinister circumstantial case for politics being involved.

The CEO of Gibson is Henry Jusziewicz.   Among other things, he gave $2,000 to Congressman Marsha Blackburn, (R-TN) and Lamar Alexander (R-TN)  He as also donated to a Consumer Electronics Pac that favors Republicans over Democrats.

Chris Martin, of Martin Guitars, on the other hand is a long time Democrat.  Over the last four years, he has given over $35,000 to Democratic Candidates and the DNC.

Given the blatant politicization of everything by the Obama regime and their habit of using government to support their friends and harass their opponents, it is perfectly plausible that someone in DOJ is helping a friend of BO.

When conservatives take over in 2013, there need to be a lot of investigations of the Obama regime and the people in it.  The GOP has a bad habit of just letting bygones be bygones.

Not this time.

The Obama regime is now presiding over the Second Great Depression.  But, you would not know that by looking at the White House.  Not only are Barack Obama and Michelle Obama taking vacation every other day, on the taxpayer’s dime, but while millions of Americans are out of work, those who are doing their best to wreck the American economy are getting raises!

The White House released its annual salary report last week, and as usual, it's nice to work for Barack Obama: Most staffers who were there for more than a year got a salary bump. A bigger one than you did.

The last time we checked in on White House salaries, we found that an astonishing 75% of continuing staffers got raises from 2009 to 2010—a huge number given the fact that, according to compensation experts, most companies had skipped routine raises that year in reaction to the economic crisis that the White House was busy failing to solve. This time around—from 2010 to 2011—the ratio is a little less dramatic. Of the 270 White House staffers who have been there for more than a year, 146—or 54%—received raises. The average salary increase was 8%. If you look at only staffers who got raises, the average increase was twice that.

That's a much bigger raise than the average white-collar worker got. According to a survey conducted last year by the human resources consulting firm Mercer, most firms were projecting a 3% increase in base pay for executives. White House workers did nearly three times as well. Overall, it should be noted, the White House's salary budget contracted slightly, from $38.8 million to $37.1 million, largely because the number of staffers fell. The average salary also dropped from $82,721, or 65% above the median household income, to $81,765—or 65% above the median household income.

If Barack Obama were the CEO of a company, the board of directors would sack him for such an incredibly poor performance.  His staff would be fired too.

Unfortunately we cannot fire them until 2012.

But maybe we can make them feel the economic pain that we are all feeling.  When Congress returns, they must finish the budget authorizations for the fiscal year that begins on October 1.   The budget must be cut and the best place to start is the White House.    Tell Congress let’s cut the White House budget by 50%.  Does Michelle Obama really need the staff that she has?  She is not an elected official.    She has a staff of twenty, including a chief of staff who makes almost $200,000 a year.

How about grounding Air Force One, except for overseas trips?  Obama will be using it as his campaign jet in the next few months.  While the exact operating costs for Air Force One are classified, the estimates are around $300 million a year.   If Obama wants a campaign jet, let his campaign lease one.  He says he is going to raise $1 billion for his reelection campaign.

He can even have his own logo on the plane.

Every four years, we have a ritual; the left wing media goes nuts over the religious beliefs of conservative candidates.    If you listen to the left wing fruits that run the editorial pages of many of the major news outlets, like the New York Times, you would think that people like Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, Mike Huckabee and even Rick Santorum are members of some secretive Christian version of the Taliban.

Every four years, we see this.  The drive-by media, which has no clue about life in “fly over” America, writes about conservatives as if they are a part of some evil religious cabal, bent on taking America back to the middle ages.

We get ominous warnings about the separation of church and state, from these people who probably cannot even cite where that statement comes from or what it truly means.  Of course, warnings of separation of church and state are a one-way street for the left.

Liberals never have these issues.  In 1976, the left wing media made “born again Christian” a popular wave in support of Jimmy Carter, even convincing a large number of evangelicals to vote for him.  Of course, Carter was a hard-core leftist, worshiping at the altar of socialism.

In 1992 and after that, we got a regular diet of how Bill and Hillary Clinton were Christians.   We got regular news reports about them going to church, complete with video of them walking, hand in hand, holding their bibles.    Of course, everything we know about the Clintons tells us their trips to church were just another political prop, like almost everything else in their lives.

In 2008, we were constantly told that Barack Obama was a Christian.   Of course, there was an almost total media embargo about his church.   Obama’s church preached a radical version of Marxist theology.  In Obama’s church, hating America, Western civilization and liberty were dogma.     While photos of the Clintons and even the Carters in church were fairly common, including photos of Carter teaching Sunday school, has anyone seen any photos of Obama at Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s church?

The left screeches about Michele Bachmann and her beliefs.  Is there even a photo of her attending church?  If there is, they are hard to find.  There are some photos of Rick Perry at the prayer event he recently participated in and at some other events, but none of him just going to church.

For most conservatives, faith is an indivisible part of what and who we are.  For most conservatives, some form of faith motivates them.  For liberals, faith is simply another tool to advance socialism.

The first commandment of socialists is they cannot have any other Gods before the god of socialism.   Liberals love to trot out “faith leaders” to support the goals of big government, but once they are no longer needed for that, the “faith leaders” are expected to sit down, shut up and stay out of the way until they are needed again.

Socialism is a very jealous religion.  It tolerates no dissent or disagreement.  In some ways, it is the fundamentalist religion that the left wing media is always railing against.   Socialism demands absolute devotion to the truth and demands destruction of anyone or anything that disagrees with the socialist fundamentalist orthodoxy.

Conservatism is just the opposite.  Conservatism allows disagreement because conservatism believes in liberty and freedom.  Conservatism believes in the free market of ideas, which is why dissenting opinions do not faze conservatives.  We believe the ideas will compete and the best ideas will emerge.

As this presidential election unfolds, expect the left to continue to project the failings of socialism on conservative candidates.  Expect to keep hearing about how dangerous the religious beliefs of Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry are.   Of course these are the beliefs of tens of millions of Americans, but why let inconvenient facts confuse the left.

While the left wing media elites are busy denigrating the beliefs a majority of Americans hold, don’t expect to hear a word about the American hating religion of Barack Obama.

We are three weeks away from the 10^th Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.  Now, you will not believe what has happened.  It is Orwellian.  The good guys are the bad guys now and the bad guys are perfectly welcome.

What is going on?

NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg has decreed there will be no clergy at the 9/11 memorial.

You heard that right.  No Clergy!

Let’s start with the basics.  Bloomberg is simply nuts.  At the same time he is saying no clergy at the 9/11 memorial service, he is also saying that he has no problem with the 9/11 victory mosque being built two blocks away.

Islamists attacked America on 9/11 based on their religious hatred of America.  All types of Americans died on that day.  Many were religious people.  One of the fatalities that day was Father Mychal Judge, a chaplain with the NYFD who went into the towers with the fire fighters and perished with them.

While Michael Bloomberg lobbies for taxpayer funds to help build the 9/11 victory mosque, there is another casualty of 9/11 that everyone seems to have forgotten about.

Little St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church had stood since 1916.   It had been a refuge for New Yorkers and others seeking escape and a brief peaceful interlude during their hectic days in the New York business world.  It was the spiritual home to many of the Greek Orthodox faithful of New York.  The Sons of St. Nicholas served in World War 1, World War 2, Korea, Vietnam and even up to Desert Storm.

When the towers were destroyed, St. Nicholas was destroyed.  The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese has asked, discussed, begged, pleaded, cajoled and done everything in its power to get little St. Nicholas rebuilt.  All to no avail.  The Archdiocese has now had to file suit.

Mean while Bloomberg, who truly meets Lenin’s definition of a useful idiot, is doing everything he can to make certain a victory mosque is built as close to the site of the 9/11 attacks as possible.

George Bush used to say that Islam had been hijacked.  No, what we saw on 9/11 was pretty consistent with Islam since its creation.  What we are seeing is 9/11 being hijacked.

Instead of a proper memorial for the worst attack on American soil since Pearl Harbor, we are instead fed a line of politically correct bovine scatology.

Enough!

9/11 was a national trauma.  We all remember where we were when we first heard about the attack.  The tenth anniversary activities are a national disgrace.

My suggestion is this. Our government refuses to identify our enemies as our enemies, treats our citizens as enemies and refuses to take meaningful steps to protect us or protect liberty.  9/11 falls on a Sunday this year.  Let’s go to our churches on 9/11 (or synagogues on 9/10) and let real Americans remember the attacks.  Let’s have remembrances at our local Tea Party events and Liberty events.  Let’s do a memorial at our local Republican Party meetings or out our local Boy Scout meetings.

We cannot make these fools go away by ignoring them, but by holding our own services, where the clergy are welcome; they will have a much harder time pouring salt in our wounds.

At a time when the economy is in the gutter and many Americans are either curtailing or cancelling vacations, you would think the first family would be sensitive to their plight.

Not so.

From the Daily Mail:

The Obamas' summer break in Martha's Vineyard has already been branded a PR disaster after the couple arrived four hours apart on separate government jets.

But according to new reports, this is the least of their extravagances.

White House sources today claimed that the First Lady has spent $10million of U.S. taxpayers' money on vacations alone in the past year.

Branding her 'disgusting' and 'a vacation junkie', they say the 47-year-old mother-of-two has been indulging in five-star hotels, where she splashes out on expensive massages and alcohol.

The 'top source' told the National Enquirer: 'It's disgusting. Michelle is taking advantage of her privileged position while the most hardworking Americans can barely afford a week or two off work.

'When it's all added up, she's spent more than $10million in taxpayers' money on her vacations.'

The First Lady is believed to have taken 42 days of holiday in the past year, including a $375,000 break in Spain and a four-day ski trip to Vail, Colorado, where she spent $2,000 a night on a suite at the Sebastian hotel.

And the first family's nine-day stay in Martha's Vineyard is also proving costly, with rental of the Blue Heron Farm property alone costing an estimated $50,000 a week.

The source continued: 'Michelle also enjoys drinking expensive booze during her trips. She favours martinis with top-shelf vodka and has a taste for rich sparking wines.

'The vacations are totally Michelle's idea. She's like a junkie. She can't schedule enough getaways, and she lives from one to the next - all the while sticking it to hardworking Americans.'

Is anyone else outraged?

This is typical of the liberals and their sense of entitlement.  You would think the Obama’s might show a little more concern because not only is it their policies that have put America in this bind, but an election is coming up.

As Congress scrounges for money to cut from the budget, I have a suggestion.  The first cut should be the Obama’s travel budget. 

More civility from the left

Congressman Frederica Wilson is a nut.  She is a liberal congressman from south Florida.  Last night she held a town hall meeting about jobs but instead turned it into political forum where she announced, “the real enemy is the Tea Party.”

Wait, what about that new tone of civility?  Apparently, that only applies to conservatives.

Also present to throw in their two cents was the Congressman from hell, Maxine Waters and the head of the racial shakedown racket, Jesse Jackson.

Perhaps it is time for a reality check.

The real reason we have the highest unemployment since the Great Depression is because of policies Congressmen Wilson and Waters supported.

There is a term for clowns like them.  Failures.  The expression epic fail was invented specifically for people like them.

Maxine Waters rants and raves about the Tea Party, but perhaps she should be more concerned with her own ethical lapses.  Waters is facing a trial in the House on charges she tried to aid a troubled bank where her husband owned stock.

Oops.

For those of us in the Tea Party Movement, I think it is time for the gloves to come off.  These clowns like Wilson and Waters want to say stupid things, then I say we answer them.

Every time Maxine Waters opens her mouth, we should remind everyone that she has been voted one of the most corrupt members of Congress, not once but twice by the liberal Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.  She even got Congress to fund the “Maxine Waters Employment Preparation Center.”  Not only is she corrupt, she has an ego about the size of California.

Waters has been accused of improper conduct, if not corruption in regard to her husband and family.  According to the LA Times, from 1996 to 2004 Waters’ relatives made more than a million dollars by doing business with companies, candidates and causes that Waters had helped.  In addition, she arranged meetings with officials of the Treasury Department so the bank, where her husband was a shareholder and a director, could get Federal Bailout money.    The bank received $12 million under the TARP program.

One thing the left understands is being pushed back.  They are like 5^th grade bullies, only with less class and less intelligence.

Someone needs to tell Frederica Wilson’s constituents the real reason they are unemployed is the policies she supports and the policies of the Party of Economic Self Destruction.

Someone needs to remind those people, “the real enemy is Frederica Wilson, Maxine Waters and all of their liberal friends.”

For the past forty plus years, there has been a civil war going on within the ranks of the Republican Party.   The establishment or RINOs are at war with the grass roots conservatives for the heart and soul of the party.

The fight has gotten more interesting in the last few weeks and the desperation of the RINOs is showing.

The first sign of desperation for the RINOs came at the New Hampshire debates.  The RINOs had tried to marginalize Michele Bachmann. She came from the back of the pack to be a contender with the great RINO hope, Mitt Romney.   Then came the crash of the establishment back up candidate Tim Pawlenty.   His disastrous performance in the New Hampshire debates was only topped by what can only be described as his creepy performance against Michele Bachmann in Iowa.  Had he gotten any weirder and stayed in the race, Michele Bachmann might have needed a restraining order before their next debate.

With Pawlenty gone,  the establishment’s sole hope is the deeply flawed Mitt Romney.  Then came Rick Perry, who joined the race and knocked Mitt Romney out of first place.

Romney’s establishment strategy has been simple.  Keep debates to a minimum.  Try not to make any mistakes.  Let the conservative candidates slice and dice each other until he is the last man standing.  The establishment has long used the strategy of letting conservatives divide their votes so the RINO ultimately wins.

That was a great strategy as long as he was the front-runner.   Now that he is not, that strategy no longer works.  So the establishment has been forced to go to plan B.

The establishment still needs conservatives to split their votes.  It is the only strategy that will allow Romney to win.  Liberals also like that strategy because they would rather Romney face Obama, because even if Obama loses, they will have a President who is content to manage big government as opposed to a President committed to reducing government.

Now, the establishment politicians are all calling for more conservatives to enter the race.  Karl Rove is all but slobbering at the feet of Sarah Palin, asking her to join the race.   A few months ago, he had nothing good to say about her.  Now, he wants her in the race.  Others called on Paul Ryan to enter the race.  Ryan wisely decided not to do so.

Two can play that game.  We need to encourage more RINOs to get in the race.  Jon Huntsman is in the race.  Run Jon run.   You may be a liberal Obama fan boy, but you take votes away from Romney.  Rudy Giuliani wants to get in.  Go for it Rudy.  He may have done a good job as mayor in NYC on 9/11 but conservatives are not going to vote for a mayor who is not only liberal on social issues but has been photographed in drag.   Run Rudy, run!  He only takes votes away from Romney, not from Bachmann or Perry

George Pataki, the former RINO governor of New York is thinking about running.  Run George run.   Same for Pataki.

The establishment folks are right.  There is room in the field for more GOP candidates.  And they should all be RINOs.  We can let the RINOs split the vote and for once, we conservatives can benefit from it.

Obama Is a Robot That Needs Reprogramming

President Obama's legacy is shaping up to be a recurring cycle of rhetorical failures chasing policy failures, an endless, stupefying effort to convince us of the wisdom of pursuing -- again and again -- policies that have already failed.

This point is reinforced as we read reports about Obama's umpteenth luxurious golf outing while our economy and financial condition approach DEFCON 2 and Middle East turmoil continues apace.

From the superficial snippets we get from the liberal media, Obama doesn't seem to be too concerned with either domestic or foreign policy while on the links, but to the extent he allocates thought to either, he's contemplating his next speech more than deliberating over any substantive decisions.

From all appearances, he's not fretting over the grim jobs reports and hints of creeping inflation; he's not meditating or seeking advice about a new direction he could propose to navigate us out of this malaise.

He's thinking about his abysmal approval ratings, wondering how he can fob those off on President Bush, too. And he's thinking about how he can con the nation into permitting him to give us more doses of the same poisonous elixirs he crammed down our throats the first time.

If he really cared what the people think, he might try listening to them instead of just pretending to be on a listening tour. When an Iowan farmer tried to gently school him on the depressing effects of stifling governmental regulations, Obama cavalierly blew him off and launched into one of his canned monologues deriding income disparities and partisanship. He's got to be the closest thing to a robot ever to inhabit the Oval Office.

As an incorrigible and stunningly narrow-minded ideologue, Obama can't process information or ideas that don't conform to his presuppositions and predispositions. When his policies don't work, it must be because conditions were worse than he'd realized or he didn't go far enough. There is utterly no room for consideration of the possibility that his policies don't work.

So it was that last year when Obama returned from Martha's Vineyard, he didn't emerge revealing any hint of humility about the ongoing failure of his economic prescriptions. He didn't announce that economic realities had finally forced him to take a second look at the wisdom of his agenda.

Instead, he strode into Wisconsin and Ohio to unveil a "bold economic program," as if his $800 billion stimulus package hadn't been brassy enough. He called for "quickly" investing some $50 billion in roads, bridges and other public works projects and, of course, for his obligatory tax hikes for the evil "rich," who could always "afford to give back a little more."

I don't know why more people didn't outright ridicule this juvenile idea at the time. If not already, at what point will he have forfeited the privilege of being taken seriously about the economy? At a time when almost every thinking American was becoming increasingly horrified at the national debt, Obama was proposing that we increase it substantially more in pursuit of policies that had already failed. He never provided any glimpse into the bizarre thought process that had led him to believe that $50 billion could jump-start an economy when 16 times that amount had not.

In the past year, since Obama attempted that preposterous Stimulus II, the people have made it even clearer how opposed they are to his reckless Keynesian schemes, but he refuses to hear them. Just as with Obamacare, he has no intention of deviating from his programmed course. His only challenge is to repackage it -- and fool us into buying it in fewer than 54 speeches this time.

That's right. Believe it or not, in between holes, he's crafting a grand September speech, "mapping out a jobs package that he hopes can boost a sluggish economy and win over voters who are coming to doubt his leadership," according to the Los Angeles Times.

He's not about to propose that the government, to stimulate growth, relax its stranglehold on the private sector by loosening onerous regulations, easing the tax burden, and drastically reducing spending. Those do not compute.

He's going to propose -- in a different, perhaps more deceptive, form -- the same blueprint: government spending of borrowed money to "stimulate" growth. And he'll ratchet up his attack on Republicans, blaming them, along with his predecessor, for obstructing his ingenious reforms. To make his case, he will have to revise history to distort the fact that he had supermajorities in Congress long enough to get his way on the omnibus bill, the stimulus package and Obamacare and that they've all greatly exacerbated our financial crisis.

Obama's puerile predictability is pathetic, but even more so, it's tragic. If only there were a way to reprogram this robot.

Obama Smuggling Guns and Registering Yours

President Barack Obama wants you to believe that America's Founding Fathers were in error when they gave citizens the right to bear arms.

The Obama administration and even its Mexican counterpart have manipulated public opinion to believe that the cartel drug wars are being fueled largely by American guns. In support of that spin, they are trying to impose a new regulation that requires licensed firearms dealers in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California to report to the federal government whenever someone buys from them more than one semiautomatic rifle with certain characteristics.

Obama's Department of Justice essentially is amending the Second Amendment by changing the rules for gun sales in border states. While working under the guise of stopping illegal contraband and fighting drug cartels, the White House in reality is further imposing its gun control agenda on the American public through back-door rule-making. This is just one more example of the feds exceeding their powers and avoiding congressional permission. It is also another showing of complete disregard for the Constitution.

Based upon those illegalities, Wayne LaPierre -- my friend and the CEO of the National Rifle Association -- disclosed on Fox News recently that the NRA filed a lawsuit against the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to issue an injunction barring enforcement of the rule. And with NRA support, the U.S. House has voted to withhold funding for the enforcement of the new regulation.

As LaPierre wrote in his weekly commentary last week, "the cartels run a $40 billion enterprise ... but the (Obama) administration wants the public to believe that it's going to disarm cartels with a form? Who is the president kidding?"

Doesn't Obama know that restricting the right to bear arms primarily ties the hands of good guys while the bad guys purchase them from a host of illegal sources? And what part of "shall not be infringed" in the Second Amendment do the feds not understand?

Attorney General Eric Holder said the Justice Department will "vigorously oppose" the NRA lawsuit.

The fact is, as LaPierre points out, that cartels get their machine guns, grenades, missile launchers and tanks from Central America, South America, Russia, China, international black markets and defectors of the Mexican army. State Department cables, released by WikiLeaks, support that fact.

On the one hand, Fox News reported that in 2009-10, more than 20,000 guns recovered in Mexico came from U.S. manufacturers. On the other hand, 75 percent of guns submitted to the U.S. could not be traced to a licensed gun store. But there is one place to which more than 2,000 crime guns could be traced: the federal government.

The winner of the "Largest American Supplier of Guns to Mexico" award is actually the Obama administration, via Operation Fast and Furious -- a botched, foiled and disastrous sting operation by the ATF's Phoenix division to uncover a large network of cartel-linked gunrunners. During 2009-11, through Operation Fast and Furious, the ATF facilitated the sale of 2,020 firearms to suspected smugglers over 15 months!

Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa, ranking Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, and Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., who is chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, have been researching information on the Fast and Furious program for months. Grassley and Issa recently blew the whistle that to date, "hundreds of these weapons have already been recovered at crime scenes in Mexico." (Your tax dollars hard at work!)

Among the tragic consequences was the murder of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, gunned down in the Arizona desert last December. Two AK-47 semiautomatic rifles found at the scene were traced directly to the Fast and Furious sting.

As far as the Obama administration's culpability goes, The Washington Times reported that Sen. John Cornyn, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, "noted that Acting ATF Director Kenneth Melson told congressional investigators the agency's senior leadership would have preferred to cooperate more with the congressional investigation of the operation, but Justice Department officials directed ATF not to respond and took full control of replying to briefing and document requests from Congress."

To add insult to injury, the ATF recently promoted three key Operation Fast and Furious supervisors, who allowed firearms to be illegally trafficked across the U.S. border into Mexico, to new management jobs in Washington!

The truth is that the Obama administration is involved right now in a monumental cover-up regarding its criminally handing over thousands of firearms to gunrunners and smugglers. And to duck and dodge its responsibility for those illegalities by now coming across as the vanguard of gun control by cracking down on the sale of two guns to an American at one time is preposterous hypocrisy.

Moreover, to unilaterally mandate this new federal rule so close to the Fast and Furious debacle is more than coincidental, especially in light of the fact that the administration tabled the proposed regulation in January because it was "not an emergency." The only thing that has changed is the embarrassing revelation of the ATF disaster.

The Obama administration is trying to not only eliminate our Second Amendment rights but also demonize good, law-abiding American gun dealers and citizens in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. It is not only smuggling its guns but also trying to take ours. And I, for one, am not going to sit back and just watch it happen.

God, guns and guts made America. Let's keep all three.

Lake County Schools in Florida suspended Jerry Buell, a high-school teacher with a reportedly impeccable record for 22 years, for posting his opposition to New York’s new gay-marriage law, and will start termination proceedings against him. The case will test First Amendment rights and encroaching political correctness: Jerry Buell, a veteran American history teacher at Mount Dora High School, was removed from his teaching duties as school officials in Lake County investigate allegations that what he posted was biased towards homosexuals. “We took the allegations seriously,” said Chris Patton, a communication officer with Lake County Schools. “All teachers are bound by a code of special ethics (and) this is a code ethics violation investigation.” Patton said the school system received a complaint on Tuesday about something Buell had written last July when New York legalized same sex unions. On Wednesday, he was temporarily suspended from the classroom and reassigned.

Obama–Planned Voter Fraud

It is no accident Obama is taking this action now.  It is a two-fold strategy.  First is a blatant and shameless pandering to the part of the Hispanic community that is demanding amnesty.   Second, by doing this “amnesty by fiat” he is sending a message to millions of others who would come to this country illegally.  He is saying, “come.  We will do nothing to you. We won’t even deport you.”

The second part is more important.  Team Obama sees the numbers.  If the election were held today, he would lose in a landslide.  Obama is not going to convince enough Americans to vote him into a second term but if he can get enough illegals up here and there is enough election fraud in swing states, he might just pull it out.  If, through election fraud and illegal alien voting, he could swing Texas, he would doom any chance a Republican would have of winning the White House in 2012.

This is why the left always opposes voter ID laws and why they have always demanded laws that allow someone to register to vote on the spot, without time to actually verify who they are and if they are eligible to be a voter.

2012 is coming and Obama’s only hope is massive vote fraud.  This is his first step.

"We need to remind President Obama that we elected a president that serves beneath the law and did not anoint a king that is above the law." 

Texas Republican Rep. Michael McCaul said the plan circumvents Congress.

"It is just the latest attempt by this president to bypass the intended legislative process when he does not get his way," McCaul said.

It was widely published yesterday that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton asked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to APOLOGIZE to Turkey for the death of 9 Turks in the 2010 Flotilla raid by Israeli Marines. The Prime Minister in top Statesman fashion declined. What nerve we have in asking Israel to apologize? Apologize for what? That request was just embarrassing.

Everyone is DC needs to put down the crack pipe. "Rehabilitation"... what is that? The Israeli's rolling over and taking another punch in the face? No.. they will not and we need to fire everyone in the State Department. Where did Secretary Clinton get the nerve to call the Israeli Prime Minister and ask him to take another hit? Can you believe it?

Sure.. Netanyahu should apologize to the Turks for defending the borders of a sovereign nation. Apologize for that? At least the Israeli's have the backbone to stand up and defend their borders. Why should they apologize? That is just crazy but typical Obama, Socialist, Marxist dogma.

But in all fairness the Israeli's do have an internal problem which is Ehud Barak. There was a critical error made when he was appointed. I have received some strong quotes which I will share in 'edited" below.

When I read this today I said wow.. wonder what will happen? Then I looked at our own elected officials and thought.. so what are we going to do? Our officials in the most high position as just idiots like Barak. I decided that Clinton and Barak should go on a cruise together. The question is where?

It is with great sadness that we learned this morning of yet another attack on Israel. This attack resulted in many casualties. It is important to note that attack originated out of Gaza and not Egypt . The attack was well coordinated and included an anti tank weapon which was fired at a civilian bus. These weapons are the ones the Israeli naval blockade is intended to intercept. And Israel should APOLOGIZE?

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families and the brave men and women of the Israeli Defense Forces.

Pakistan gave China access to the previously unknown U.S. "stealth" helicopter that crashed during the commando raid that killed Osama bin Laden in May despite explicit requests from the CIA not to, the Financial Times reported on Sunday.
The disclosure, if confirmed, is likely to further shake the U.S.-Pakistan relationship, which has been improving slightly after hitting its lowest point in decades following the killing of bin Laden.
During the raid, one of two modified Blackhawk helicopters, believed to employ unknown stealth capability, malfunctioned and crashed, forcing the commandos to abandon it.

America is stunned by the sharp contrast.
How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?

Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah  with the grasshopper and everybody cries when they sing, 'It's Not Easy Being Green..'

ACORN stages a demonstration in front of the ant's house where the news stations film the group singing, We shall overcome.

Then Rev. Jeremiah Wright
has the group kneel down to pray for the grasshopper's sake.

President Obama condemns the ant and blames President Bush, President Reagan, Christopher Columbus, and the Pope for the grasshopper's plight.

Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid exclaim in an interview with Rachel Maddow that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper,  and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share.

Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity & Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer.

The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the Government Green Czar and given to the grasshopper.

The story ends as we see the grasshopper and his free-loading friends finishing up the last bits of the ant's food while the government house he is in, which, as you recall, just happens to be the ant's old house, crumbles around them because the grasshopper doesn't maintain it.

The ant has disappeared in the snow,
never to be seen again.

The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident, and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize and ramshackle, the once prosperous and peaceful, neighborhood.

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York called a new city requirement that sex education be taught at all public middle and high schools “troubling” on Wednesday, and some Catholic officials said they would advise Catholic parents not to let their children participate.

In the first serious challenge to the city’s mandate, which was announced on Tuesday, a spokesman for the archdiocese said the church’s position was that parents, not the schools, should educate children about sex.

“Parents have the right and the responsibility to be the first and primary educators of their children,” Joseph Zwilling, director of communications for the archdiocese, wrote in a statement. “This mandate by the city usurps that role, and allows the public school system to substitute its beliefs and values for those of the parents.”

Why Is It Okay for Obama. . .

Why was it okay for Obama to accept more than a million inflation-adjusted dollars from Goldman Sachs employees if it was wrong, as liberals protested at the time, for George W. Bush to accept less than one-seventh as much (less than 150,000-inflation adjusted dollars) from Enron? Then wonder aloud at the brilliance of Goldman Sachs—investing in its own bailout and (with donations to the man sure to take his place) buying top-notch jobs in the Obama administration for a discount price.

Point out to any handy liberal that the United States won the Vietnam War. America was never defeated on the battlefield, after all, and the United States compelled North Vietnam to sign a peace treaty. When American troops left South Vietnam, it was still a sovereign, independent, non-Communist country, and American troops had also given the rest of East Asia a 2 1/2-year breathing space from Communist expansion. It was only after the liberal Democrat Congress refused to hold North Vietnam accountable for violating the peace accords and walked away from America's commitment to South Vietnam that victory became defeat. The lesson: liberals can't be trusted—by us or by our allies.

A deal has been struck between the GOP and the Party of Treason.  It is a total victory for the Party of Treason.  John Boehner and Mitch McConnell have totally sold the Tea Party and the conservative movement out.

The deal provides for exactly $4 billion in savings this year.  That’s right, $4 billion.  It promises fantasy cuts in future years, which will never happen.  It guts defense spending with budget cuts to be shared 50-50 between the Department of Defense and entitlement programs, though entitlement programs are close to three times the size of the defense budget.

There will be a committee to propose more cuts down the road.  The House side will have three Republicans and three Democrats.  Earth to John Boehner.  You have a majority in the House.  Why the hell don’t you have a majority on that committee?

The debt ceiling deal provides for the immediate raising of the debt ceiling, thus fueling the continuing, endless increase in the size of government.

For the GOP, your day of reckoning maybe coming.

By 2006, the big government establishment Republicans were in total control of the GOP and what happened?  The GOP got their heads handed to them in the election.  In 2008, the establishment managed to get the troll king of Mordor, John McCain nominated.    His campaign ended up much like Custer’s last stand except Custer put up a better fight.

Suddenly in 2009, the Tea Party movement appeared and in 2010, we took the House from the Democrats and gave Boehner a huge mandate.  We came close to taking the Senate.  The difference in 2006, 2008 and 2010 was the Tea Party movement.  Tea Party volunteers got out and did the heavy lifting.  We showed up at the polls and put the GOP in power.

Tonight a lot of us are asking ourselves why we bothered.   The only difference between John Boehner and Nancy Pelosi is the size of the heels.

The difference between the Democrats and Republicans is the Democrats have convictions and courage.  They have a goal.  They are going to advance their goal.  It is a tragedy that their goals are so anti-American.  They want to see America wrecked.  Our future depends on John Boehner and Mitch McConnell.   We would be better off with Benedict Arnold and Alger Hiss in charge of the Republican Party.

Every Tea Party member needs to get involved with precinct committees.  The Precinct committeeman strategy allows us to take over the GOP at the local level and work our way up.  We need to start at the local level and get rid of the RINOs while we still have a country left.  We need to take the GOP over and kick these RINOs to the curb.

The Boehner and McConnell have sold us out.  It is time for us to put them out to pasture.
