Here it is fall in upstate New York. On the 26th of this month my grand daughter turns 13 . . . . it happened way too soon for me. They do grow up way too quickly. Today is Saturday and here I am just sitting in the living room watching TV and playing on the computer.
I am working some on a newsletter for my church (United Church of Cohoes) and although I have some ideas getting the various groups to give me anything is like pulling hens teeth. People like to do things and work in the groups but once again the paperwork in not something they like to take the time to do.
Last May my mother in law came to live with us as she could not live alone anymore - she is 91 years old and not able to get around and can;t hear or see too good. I know it is the right thing to do but it has completely changed our lives and we can't go anywhere or do anything and absolutely never have any time to ourselves.
I pray about this situation everyday but it is a challenge to accept it in stride and to remain calm and patient.
We have to decorate for Halloween this weekend this means a lot of trips to the celler to find the containers of decorations we have stored down there. Since we had water in the basement this spring things down there are not stacked up where they used to be so it will be a major job to find them.
Since I turned 60 this year I have about 2 years left and then I think I am going to retire from my job with the state. I had never thought I would like to retire but it is getting harder everyday to get moving and get into work.
So far this season my Tampa Bucaneers are doing great. I just hope that they can get over the two players that they have lost now for the season. I think they can get over this but only time will tell.
